I am sitting here pondering the fact that it is Valentines day on Thursday. I have just realised that it is 22 years since I went out on Valentines night, 22 years since I received a Valentines card, and yes 22 years since I received a Valentines present.

The sad thing about it is that I was married for 10 of those years and with the same person for the four years before we married.

Not sure why this is suddenly bugging me!

i used to prompt my dad every valentines day/anniversary and birthday to make sure he'd remember a card for my mum.

Always a strange time of year when you're single.

I'd rather have nothing than a card given out of duty.

I was given a present last unexpectedly from a good friend which was sweet.
