On the big list of reasons why I'm not interested in someone, grammar falls pretty far down.

If it looks more like a typo than an outright grammatical error it's completely irrelevant to me.

A shameless dyslexic here. Sometimes my spelling if off and my grammar inaccurate. Even when I proof read stuff I miss errors. However the content of what I'm writing can still be understood and is perfectly valid. For me a person's worth has little to do with grammar and everything to do with what they are actually saying. If someone is the type of person to shun me because they value grammar snobbery over the contents of what I have to say then it's clear we've both had a lucky escape. Because to me the higher ignorance is to judge a person's worth on grammar than it is to be ignorant of the correct grammar itself. A person's intelligence and inate beauty has little to do with their understanding or ability to accurately adhere to a cultural language code.

One thing I would say is that we all make mistakes or have certain words that are our nemesis.

Quite a lot of people don't realise that although two words may sound the same and be spelled very similarly they don't actually mean the same thing.

It used to be an autocorrect. But I liked it more. So now I deliberately use defiantly if it's in a suitable context.

Like mispronunciations between friends that have hung around for years because I like the lilt of them.

Whilst not finding poor grammar a complete turn off, I do thoroughly enjoy reading a well written and punctuated post, where the poster has conveyed their message in as succinct a manner as possible whilst still being fully informative.

I try but fall someways short, I envy people who achieve it.

I'm guilty as changed for this if it's something that puts you off people then obviously it is what it is for you but you could be missing out on meeting some amazing people, Luckily we are all very different otherwise the world would be a shit place, I'd never be put of by someone that's not hands on, if anything I'd happily help them learn new skills, and in return they can write letters for me

No. But you will be vilified for saying it matters to you. When it comes to a profile, I think people should take the time to make it readable. Spelling/grammar check etc. Same goes for a cut and paste opening message. It makes a better impression and isn't that what most people want?
