Final resting place for the night, they are such private animals, they aren't nocturnal as far as i know but they know when humans will be around

When I lived in London, worked on a luxury hotel in the middle of some woods, and young deer used to just roam free they were so tame I used to feel them out my hand and stroke them, it was crazy. There was a good pack of 20/30.

I have them come lie under one of my trees sometimes. Most I have see is four but I have a regular doe who comes and lives in the bramble patch during winter and often has a little one. I am not of their life span but it’s a good five years now. I watch her mooch about they are so cautious with every movement you would know she was there most of the time.

I'm lucky enough to live in an area which has a lot of deer which is nice as I love to see them. Unfortunately they didn't watch the green cross code adverts or Tufty Squirrel so they tend to get hit by cars on a regular basis which is pretty awful to see or be involved in as I have

Loads here and have accidentally killed three and ran over one that was hit by the car in front of me.

I’ve seen them in the woods when cutting my fire wood and they really are magical.

I got offered 8 legs of venison in the pub the other night for 50 quid. Was that too dear?

We have a few wild herds living out in the fields and woods around here. They are pretty nervous of people but make a big mess of your car when they run out of the trees and across the road straight in front of you. They don’t come out of that well either

A few years back I got a shock when hammook camping. About 3am I woke up due to a weird noise that seemed very close so I grabbed my headtorch and turned it on to find a doe standing next to me under my tarp. For a few moments we both froze looking at wach other before the deer bolted off into the dark of the woods.

I drive max 15mph at night in this area because i know the deer are at roadside feeding, they would seriously damage your vehicle if you hit one of these majestic animals
