Weather experts have gathered to decide the names of next year's storms. Now call Tom old fashioned but they used to be called, storms. Why are we naming the buggers. That aside they have called one Storm Minnie after the Beano character who was called Minnie the Minx? What would you call a storm? It's all over the news.

Why are they named?

To give media outlets something else to sensationalise and have some living in terror?

What would I name one? A storm.
