.. who’s looking forward to wrapping up in snug jumpers, curling up with a hot chocolate (or even a pumpkin spiced latte for those weirdos that like that sort of thing), skipping through the leaves in the woods and whatever else the Fall (just slipped that one in for our Transatlantic friends) offers?

Tell us all why you love or indeed dislike the Autumn?

Me? I think the ladies look super cute in woolly bobble hats and rosy cheeks on a cold fresh Autumnal morning!

Who wants a big warming cuddle?

I always find the change of seasons hard to get used to. Now I’ve got myself happy walking around in shorts and t-shirts I have to change back to long trousers and jumpers. I want to live somewhere where nothing changes!

I dislike the gloom in the evenings and morning. Winter and Autumn are not favourite times of the year. I guess I don’t mind having a nice fire on.

I have to get winter sun to get by.

Nah I’m not having that. I’m not satisfied with the summer this year so I’ll have an Indian summer before I get my woollies out

Somewhere In The Ether…

I love the warm colours associated with the season as the leaves turn beautiful shades of orange and red.

I’m not a lover of the heat so the cooler temperatures are hugely welcome for me.

Also, from a purely lazy perspective, my lawn growth slows to a crawl at this time which saves me having to mow it every week

I'm a lover of seasonal changes. I'm definitely a nutured in nature type of person. Autumn has such a beautiful display and I enjoy the slowing down it brings.

I'm not ready for Autumn yet. I feel we rush the transition of the end of summer to full on autumn. I love the warm days of September, yes there can be a nip in the air at night but it's not cold. Flowers are still blooming and we still have plenty of sunlight after work. I like this time of year, I find it quite calm and beautiful

I cannot fucking wait! Warm, cozy jumpers. Putting my boots on, wrapping up in a blanket when it's cold out, the crisp leaves crunching beneath me as I walk, hot drinks. Inject it into my veins

Let's do this together and recite after me...

Log fires, shepherd's pie, mulled wine, long walks and kicking leaves, merino wool jumpers, chukka boots, jam roly poly, crisp fresh air..•°°*

Only if we do it to the tune of "We Didn't Start the Fire" like I just read it...

Thanks for this post OP. I despise the humid misery of summer. If you're cold, you can put a jumper on. If you're naked and still too hot... Tough luck!

It feels like we have been in Autumn since the end of June.

I want my summer! We have been short changed this year. It's the best time of year. Sat out in the sun with a beer or two

We definitely have been short-changed with this so called summer. Thought we might get another week or two of sunshine at least. Rubbish

I love Autumn… love the fullness of it, love the greens turning to reds, yellow, golds

But gonna love this autumn even more because I think at last we might get some dry weather and some sunshine instead of constant pissing rain

I’ll just pop a base layer under my T-shirt, maybe a hat to keep my head warm if it’s particularly nippy.

your wildest dreams,

I’m not ready to put away my bikinis yet but when the time comes I love woollys. Big warm cardigans or jumpers and big fluffy socks, usually nothing else in the house, maybe a bobble hat to go outside as well though
