Is there a difference in how much effort you put in with someone you've known for some time and someone new?

Someone new? Definitely make sure I’m properly presented.

If it’s someone I’m more familiar with and we’re both comfortable with each other then more casual is fine.

Conversely if they don’t make any effort or have bad hygiene then that’s a turn off as it’s disrespectful to me.

I always check my finger nails and trim, file and/or clean as required. I can imagine not many things worse than being fingered by dirty overgrown nails.

I check my stubble - differs by the person, do they prefer being tickled or scratched. If unsure I’ll shave.

New or regular I still go through the same routine each time. I wouldnt feel comfortable meeting someone if I wasnt prepped head to toe. Its effort and a process being a woman and men don't understand last minute meets just can't happen.

I think the most important thing is to let go of the stresses of the week and put all that to one side, be the most sociable, fun, jokey, horny self. Being a super positive human being, someone has made time to meet me, I’m gonna be the best me I can.

Of course, a bit of body pampering, clean fresh clothes etc. and it’s the same whether I’ve met them 20 times or this is the first one

Aww Mimi! I like this approach a lot. Yes, it's a bit... dislibidoing when the effort drops. Casual can be great but it's nice to properly make an effort, regardless of time known.

Provided the tint is showered off beforehand, transfer isn’t usually too bad. Plus, I couldn’t possibly go without self tan before getting naked with someone. My natural skin tone is practically blue

Someone new? I get pleasantly flustered and spend the preceding time looking forward to the event intensely.

Someone I've known for some time? The fluster isn't there. The loss in terms of extra excitement, though, is far more than made up for with the extra ability to look forward even more, and concentrate on enjoying first the prospect of their company, then their company itself, without worrying about the friction of early encounters and uncertain compatibilities. Much more fun to make an effort to be presentable, also, when you have the experience of knowing the other person will definitely also enjoy seeing you.

I love getting ready to meet someone and whether it's new or familiar I always make the effort as it makes me feel great.

I'll pick my clothes and if needed press my shirt.

Shower and give my hair the full treatment. Anyone with loads of curly hair will know this isn't trivial!

Then I'll get the scissors out and trim my beard until it's neat and tidy. This is probably the number one ritual and I find it incredibly relaxing.

I enjoy taking my time to get ready and feeling the excitement of making the effort for someone and knowing they are doing the same.

I like to make an effort because it makes me feel more confident. Nice underwear, always smooth, some make up and perfume.

I also think it's a nice thing to do for someone else. Shows you care.

I don't think I do anything too extreme or a seawitch level of prep. I just don't have the time

Someone I’ve already previously met I’ll always make the effort still and have little personal touches I know they like from types of underwear to certain outfits

I’ll always smell nice, trim, shave unless I’ve been asked not too. Good personal hygiene is standard for any meet though
