Blue Moon

Gateway to the Beacons

In the canvas of the midnight sky,

Where stars like distant cities lie,

There blooms a light that owns the night

A blue moon in its quiet might.

It's not just any silvery sphere

That graces us from far to near;

But a lunar dance, so rare, so fine,

A ballet on the edge of time.

It whispers tales of love and lore,

Of sailors drifting far from shore,

Of secrets sealed in the tidal pull,

And longings that the night can't dull.

A cerulean glow, a sapphire hue,

A moment when the world feels new.

Tonight, we gaze with bated breath—

At moonlight caught in the azure mesh.

It's not a sight we often see,

This moon is as blue as a deep-set sea.

It serves to halt our rushed routine,

A glimpse of what's so rarely seen.

So let's embrace this wondrous sight,

This fleeting grace, this sacred night.

For in the quiet, it imparts,

We find the blue moon of our hearts.
