The prices they offer, I would argue they think they do already!

Haha yeah! Although we did sell them a scrap car in which they offered more than scrap value, so in that instance I believe we came out on top

If you saw some of the sheds people sell them you'd understand the pricing a bit better.

I used to work for a company that transported their cars from their sites to the auctions. The guys that buy the cars have no idea about cars in generalbut if you have something a bit special to sell management get involved and you might get a decent price.

I once picked up a Porsche 911 from one of their sites and actually gave the former owner a lift home in it. They told me they were picking up a new one the next day and WBAC had given them £3k more than the trade in offer!

On the other side of the coin I don't think I ever picked up a Corsa that didn't overheat on the way to British Car Auctions

A friend of ours was offered £12 for their car.

If it’s got an mot..

Dealers only usually offer slightly more, if at all.

I'm not sure if it fits into the confidence / arrogance /delusion of some people category, but when you see adverts on local buy and sell pages that lists:

Bath tub, ideal upcycle project. Pic is of something that is mire rust than metal and they just can't fit it in their car to take it to the skip.

Shed, need minor repair. Buyer to dismantle and take away. Like I have 8 hours to unscrew something I have no idea how it was put together and then hire a van to take the panels away.

I don't understand why people try and sell utter shite.
