Anyone else find it hard to strike a original conversation starter on fab which would spike the interest of someone?.

I find it hard to make that first message intriguing enough to start a chat but after that first message I have no problem in conversation.

Anyone from South Coast that fancies chatting by all means message away.

Honestly? No.

If someone interests me enough for me to want to reach out it's because of something they've said on their profile or the forum, and I just go from the topic at hand.

This.

Or something I've read in a profile.

It's usually easy to think of something to break the ice.

Yes, I despise small talk, attraction is difficult to guage off many profiles so I generally don't bother on here, I just come for the forums, I'd much rather meet people at socials at face value.

I don’t really send messages first OP, but I think, as others have said, that there are certain cues that you can pick up on in a profile or pics that can help start a conversation.

Every person is different and I appreciate that some profiles are sparse (I’d just avoid those tbh). I think the trick is to try and allay any concerns, keep early conversation interesting without being too explicit (unless they are that way inclined), try to write more than one sentence and keep the conversation light. And of course accept rejection (should it come) with grace.

I'm an introvert too. That's why I only reach out to people who spark enough of an interest in me for me to already know what I want to talk to them about.

It’s never going to be easy on a website like this, I assume that you are trying to attract women which can put you at a disadvantage sheet by the weight of numbers. However if you are genuinely interested in something someone puts on their profile and put the effort in to talking about it then you give yourself a much better chance.

We’ve met Prey (she’s a delight) and we are both introverts too, but we managed it somehow, so it’s not impossible.
