I know it’s tough. Looked after a dog that did that. And my cat has allergies and used to go at herself

I teared up watching Guardians of the Galaxy 3 at certain parts but mostly because of the emotions and memories it hit. It got to me on a personal level.

As for felt like crying... About a year ago maybe, that was not triggered by something stiring emotions but just emotions doing it all themselves and things getting too big and heavy all at once. Overwhelmed.

And I did cry.

I am very emotional, I cry at certain triggers but the last full on cry was in the last few weeks when my dog was seriously ill and we thought we were going to lose him. I cried for about 5 days straight as I stayed up with him when he came home from vets after 4 nights in veterinary intensive care

He’s ok by the way.

I prefer that tbh. I find sympathy can be hard to take. I prefer someone to just give me the space and acceptance to feel my emotions in a genuine way whether that's balling my eyes out or just breathing my through it.

Can’t cry with others around me.

When I had a stent put in after my heart attack, after the operation I had this sudden wave of emotions come over me. I’d been ok during the Op, as some parts are very uncomfortable but as I was being wheeled back I could feel the tears and needed to properly cry. The nurse was fantastic I think she had an inclining as beforehand I had been chatty and joking with others on the ward. So she closed the curtains and I cried (quietly) like I hadn’t since I was a little boy.

It didn’t last long and I felt the weight come off me almost immediately, nobody knew and I was relieved over that.

I’m not too tough not to cry or allow my emotions to flow a bit, but it will always be in private I can’t imagine allowing anyone to see me like that.

I am a bit of crier. Happy, sad, angry, hurt, irritated, cute animal etc etc.

I cried properly last Thursday at my therapists. We were discussing if I still need to go and reflecting how different I am now and I felt sad for past me and happy for current me. That produced plenty tears.
