FS is just the best general site, but it's always worth having imo. For bdsm I use fabguys and a bunch of others all at different times. If you swing its way of course, FG with it's Search may actually be the best one as the Fabs are so cheap to use. pt

Doms/Dommes can charge for services. Nothing has changed there. I don't really understand the thread. The kink sites I'm on have always featured £ one way or another. OF (or whatever the latest platform is) means some people are there just to funnel people to their paid stuff. Same here.

In the professional world it all happens somewhere or other (and yes some more dedicated sites...), but in the case of Fab I find that Dom's (not sure about Dommes I don't tend to look for them) rarely give any pics at all in my experience - maybe just the odd one. You eventually get the face when they are really, really ready to share it!

Most of the dollar stuff I see around (and it's not much at all, or is dumb speculating from stoners who haven't read my profile which I don't count) I suspect to be pure scamming tbh.

The serious people into BDSM are still there. But with the arrival of OF, the ones who charge for pics are spamming many sites, thereby drowning the voices of people who are looking for serious meets.

Commercial Kink has always been there, be it clubs or pay to Dom/Top/Rig.

It is more in the open, noore business cards in phone boxes, and the crossovers between the different scenes more apparent.

Although I do love the Elon Findom culture of pay to unblock... Genius

For serious non financial D types... British law can be a problem. Putting face pics out there can be a legal issue.

BDSM has gone down the pan, the main site for it is now just used for pro-Dommes and OF girls. It’s just turned into a business unfortunately, and the worst part is you can point it out as they all retaliate with virtue signalling and get backed up by simps hoping to get a pity fuck.

It’s a real shame as it was once a vibrant and wonderful scene, now it’s full of negative and spiteful people just out for money.

Used to be able to do many nice people, but now it’s nearly impossible.

I suspect the point made by OP and alluded to by others, is that with the closing of other platforms, certain activities have moved to BDSM sites.

Although I don't use the site "that can't be mentioned" to meet people, on that site, on my profile, the list of people recommended for me to friend, has a long list of semi naked women who have Amazon wish lists, tribute sites and other sites.

Effectively, OnlyFans and similar have discovered the BDSM platform.

Whereas before the 2000s BDSM porn was a niche interest and popular porn stars did not perform in kink films. This has changed with porn stars appearing as subs and or Dommes. This has led to the view in a large number of men that not only are subs/ Dommes free kink dispensers, they are also free sex dispensers.

This has increased the numbers of men desperate for sex harassing any woman who calls herself a sub/Domme or has nudity in their pictures on a BDSM platform. This as mentioned above is being capitalised by woman not into kink to attract "followers".

As straight male London based Top/Dominant it is only my observation and others are free to disagree.

But, I have generally found in London at what I call legitimate BDSM events the biggest category is serious male subs, and by reason of numbers they are most likely not to be satisfied.

I would also add that as hard as it is to meet people on Fab, it is harder in the BDSM scene, unless you go into it with a partner or luck smiles on you.

There is an unwritten hierarchy in the BDSM world, based on supply and demand, with female subs at the top and male subs at the bottom.

As a male submissive you have two choices, pay for your interests or put in a lot of time and effort to get yourself known within the scene
