.

Are they something you experience? How do you handle them?

Yep, there's not a lot of waffle to accompany this question. :D

Every time. The day I don't is the day I start worrying.

Dealing with them, music and remembering they go away.

I love the butterflies. If I’m not a little nervous, something’s wrong. I don’t want the person or the meet enough.

The ‘I don’t know if she’ll like me’ nerves.

The ‘will she look like her photos’ nerves.

The ‘might this be more than a social’ nerves.

The nerves that disappear with the first kiss. Those are the best ones.

Yes, it's something I experience and to be honest I find there is nothing that works or mitigates the feeling. I just have to get on with it.

Breathing can help, I use the 7-11 one where you breathe in counting to 7 then out counting 11.

Set a timer on your phone for 5 minutes, make sure you won’t be interrupted and just concentrate on your breathing.

Whenever your mind wanders, bring it back to the breathing.

Good luck!

Every single meet! If I didn’t something’s wrong it’s time to stop.

I learned this for public speaking ,to understand nerves & remind yourself it’s actually very similar symptoms as excitement / arousal just a different name.

Carlisle usually

Embrace the butterflies. Focus them into something positive and ride that soft thrill all the way until you finally get to the person

Yes. They are a beautiful thing. I love butterflies, sparks and nerves tell me it means something.

I want all of those things

Not something I experience due to suffering from anhedonia.

No nervous anticipation before and no lasting effect after.

Just very present in the moment.

That's funny. I often go the other way and go quiet.luckily I tend to attract talkative men so it's OK!

I've got so much nervous energy! Well excitable energy. I'm trying to trick myself into getting ready by listening to reggaeton. It's erm... not too successful.

Deepest darkest Peru

I adore those butterfly feelings, the build up and anticipation to meeting up with someone and spending time with them

If I didn’t get those flutterbys I’d be worried

I have learnt to embrace and enjoy that feeling. They no longer overwhelm me like they did when I first started doing this. The build up and anticipation is a huge part of doing this for me so without that there would be something missing for me.
