I am returning to my gym after 9 months out of action.

I’ve lost strength, CV endurance, and have gotten soggier round the midsection.

I need to kick myself up the arse for a couple of months to put myself in a position to start lifting heavy again.

St Albans/ Welsh Borders

I go several times A week. I do boxercise, zumba and swimming to burn fat and feel fit and then the gym to build muscle.

I didn't initially set out to lose weight as such but to just feel healthier. Losing weight is a bonus tbf

I want to start using creatine so looking to delve a buy further.

Make sure drink a lot of water and cycle it as creatine can dehydrate you. Cycling creatine allows for the maintenance of higher creatine levels as the body will try a seek homeostasis. Possibly descresing production of creatine if used in a long cycle.

So most sprint athletes will do 3,1,3. 3 weeks on 1 week off and 3 weeks on. Some may even do a long loadng cycle before hand but let's not over complicate it. And research what would best for your needs.

I’ve had a solid week back at the gym after almost 3 weeks off. The numbers have stayed the same so it hasn’t been too bad but I’ll be going 110% again after the bank holiday weekend.

Dubai & Nottingham

I used to love lifting heavy , bench , deadlift , squat , shoulder press but am finding it hard to find time & energy now boxing 3-4 times a week.

I keep wanting to get back into it , love & miss the feeling of lifting till failure and each week nudging up the weight or reps.

Hopefully from mid sept will have an MMA / boxing gym with weights near work so will try and for 2x strength sessions in a week

Love creatine. I used to do the 2x dose that was the building phase as a pre workout in a small bit of grape juice. I would do it for 10 days then leave it off for 20 but increase red meat then repeat rather than doing the maintenance 1/2 dose all month. I think you get more impact this way and muscle that stays much longer. It was creatine helped me from benching 90 to 115
