Worse. You can't say what you think without the worry of offending someone.

Only just this week at work we've been told we can't say 'Christmas market', we have to call it a 'winter market', in case the word Christmas offends someone. It's fecking stupidity and ridiculous.

Better. We live longer and happier. Hating people because of sexuality race etc is less acceptable- not gone unfortunately but heading in the right direction.

They're just words. You can refer to Xmas however you please. Nobody has ever been offended by someone else saying Christmas

All over

It does feel a lot worse sadly whether in reality that is true or not. Future more uncertain for people. Also, and again is a personal opinion, I believe people have become more materialistic, less caring about others and it's all about me behaviour no matter how that might impact on others. Sadly often that behaviour is often observed by their children who will probably turn out like them or worse. Of course there are decent people around too but fewer I believe.
