Just started on itv 3 - had a good day and no sure I want to watch this cos it always makes me cry but such a good film.I'll just watch a bit then as I still have a glass of wine to drink

Ralph Fiennes is superb as the Kamp Kommandant but as moving as the film may be it still isn't as hard hitting as perhaps it could have been.

I watched this once only as I cried so hard my kids passed me a t towel (son did bring a bath towel but I think he was taking the p**s!) to mop the tears and so I had to stop the film and watch the rest 2 days later.

So very sad seeing that little red coat in the bin
