"Seen neither. Are they recommended viewing? " Yes they definitely are worth the watch but they are 80s movies the effects and stuff don’t hold up well

"I've only seen LA and didn't really like it that much. It felt too much of a struggle, even for an 80s movie the effects felt weak. " They can be but it is a classic 80s cheese action movie

"The original: New York gets my vote. The supporting assemble cast was amazing: Isaac Hayes, Ernest Borgnine, Lee Van Cleef, Harry Dean Stanton, Donald Pleasence, Tom Atkins and the ever delectable Adrienne Barbeau I would love to see Kurt Russell return to the iconic role as Snake Plissken one more time (an older version obviously). After all, if Stallone can still kick arse as Rambo in his seventies and the late Charles Bronson was still killing off scumbags as Paul Kersey in the Death Wish series into his eighties(!!!), Kurt could easily pull it off " The cast off the first is definitely top notch and yes I would like to see a 3rd one

"Oh good grief there's no comparison between the two. LA is utter early CGI bilge and New York is an 80s cheesy masterpiece." Yip but I think the reason for me like LA more as it was the first one I see

But…..I have just done some digging as regards our dream of seeing a third film with Kurt back in the iconic role and…. Radio Silence filmmaking collective has taken over the project with intent to indeed make a third film (Yayyyy!!!) and it will be a sequel, not a remake (whooooo!!!) Even better news: The proposed director has stated clearly, that he has no plans to replace Kurt in the role (provided he is amiable to reprise it) I am now a very happy dude!
