I don’t think it can be anything other than an explosion. Question is was it inside or outside the aircraft. The Russian state can deny involvement from a bomb on board, harder to deny state involvement if there is evidence found of a shoot down. | |||

A surface to air missile works by targeting the hottest part of the intended target… in this case that would be the engine, which would be on the wing Also isn’t it convenient that some one caught the footage of the plane coming down….
