Gateway to the Beacons

It’s been a while since I did a poem

In the tapestry of life, a woman stands,

A symphony of strengths and scars in her hands,

She stumbled on her journey, as all souls do,

Yet rose with grace, her spirit shining through.

As a girl, as a friend, as a woman, she grew,

Learning life's lessons, both old and brand new,

Her brilliance shines forth, a radiant light,

A constellation of secrets, tucked away from sight.

Through storms of sorrow and nights of despair,

She bore scars like badges, tales of strength to share,

For in the shadows of trials that she faced,

She found the courage to rise, never to be erased.

Some hearts embrace her, some look away,

Yet she stands unapologetic, come what may,

In her laughter, in her quirks, so endearingly strange,

She's a painting of colours that endlessly change.

She won't don a mask, won't pretend to be,

Anyone other than herself, wild and free,

Each mistake, each triumph, every tear that fell,

Crafted the tapestry, this story to tell.

Love her or not, she remains steadfast and true,

For those she holds dear, her love is a hue,

A canvas of feelings painted with care,

A masterpiece is woven, beyond compare.

A warrior, indeed, with a heart full of fire,

She faces the battles, rising higher and higher,

Imperfect, yet shining with values untold,

She's a beacon of strength, a story unfolding.

Not invincible, no, but her spirit stands tall,

A lighthouse of courage, inspiring all,

In the tapestry's weave, in every scar,

Lies a tale of resilience, reaching far.

This woman, this soul, she stands here so proud,

With a heart that's unyielding, her voice ringing loud,

A symphony of failures and triumphs, you see,

This woman, this warrior, is beautifully, wonderfully Me.
