Its exactly the same as Beverly Allett did all those years ago to those poor babies.

The chief executives who made the doctors write apology letters to Letby for raising concerns about her should hang their heads in shame.

The management team need to be charged with manslaughter, they ignord complaints by several consultants and even made staff write her an apology and continued to allow more babies to be harmed.

They indeed should be brought to justice.

No. There is no justification for capital punishment, ever, for many reasons.

Capital punishment is only about revenge not justice

Do you think she todays DR Shipman - No, very different crimes and mens rea for committing them. Both worked for the NHS and preyed on patients being the only similarity.

.

Do you think like me the magagement team need putting in front of a court - There needs to be a FULL investigation. We will get one??? I doubt it sadly.

.

DO YOU THINK HANGING FOR CASES LIKE THIS SHOULD BE BROUGHT BACK - No, Capital Punishment does not act as a deterrent sadly. Plus cases like Timothy Evans and Derek Bentley WILL re-occur. And that should NEVER happen.

.

Do you think things will change after all this in NHS - No. It works EXACTLY as those pulling the strings want it to work. We will hear the "lessons have been learned" spiel and some token safety-valves will likely be instigated.

The big take away here isn't protecting a murderer. It was part of the ongoing process to reduce the influence of doctors in the NHS. It's not the first time that doctors have been threatened with the GMC for speaking out. It's not uncommon now.

It was a terrible case of the chickens coming home to roost but lessons will be learnt and so on.

I don’t think they should bring back hanging no.

However I do think they need to make those found guilty listen to the impact statements. If they haven’t got the balls to attend Court and face their victims loved ones then they should be put in a cell where there is a screen and speakers where they are sat down, handcuffed to a table, and they have no choice but to see and hear what is going on in the Court room.

And I don’t think there should be a choice about it. Just do it.

I agree with that, but I think it should only be those found guilty who have to do it. If there were someone found innocent I think they shouldn't be forced to hear everything.

Why keep them alive at a cost to us. If it's 100% guilty with DNA or stone wall evidence. I'd rather they was put down. I also believe in Euthanasia should be our own choice

This was on the news this morning and yes the victims families need to face the person who destroyed their world, to see someone laughing at their words is horrific

I saw an article showing how luxurious the prison Lucy is at now which I think is insulting to the families of the victims.

Murderous convicts like Lucy shouldn't deserve to be treated like human beings in prison as they lost their humanity the moment they took an innocent life.

That so called evidence did not involve DNA or any forensics. The Police acted illegally and against procedure with "eyewitnesses",a photograph of a broken fingernail went "missing" and evidence was withheld, not fully investigated or subject to any serious scrutiny. It was DNA evidence that eventually proved his innocence which then forced an inquiry into how he was convicted which then revealed all the errors. When the evidence is absolutely irrefutable DNA or Forensic, these walking corpses should be put down.£50k+per year cost to the taxpayer to keep them in prison, with all the "rights" they are entitled to.Remember that Prison has a duty of care to these creatures,in other words keeping them safe. The idea that other inmates are going to make their life hell is laughable, especially if the prisoner exercises their legal right to "do the numbers".

I don't think there's anything luxurious about losing your freedom

You could put ££ on the source of this claim being tabloid nonsense.

It's remarkable the bloodlust many in the thread have shown. The state execution of this woman wouldn't help any of the families.
