We've not had this one for a while

Before the pile on starts. It is in the site rules that No Reply = No Thank You.

I'm sure if everyone did reply No Thank You we'd soon get threads about the disappointment of never getting a reply other than "No thank you"

NO REPLY = NO THANK YOU

It's in the rules.

Plus why should I reply to people who have messaged and not bothered to read my profile.

Or I reply no thank you despite the fact they've not read it to be bombarded with minging cock pics or abuse.

No reply is a no thank you. Sadly a polite reply often ends up in message exchange I don't really want to have at best or a lot of abuse at worse.

I understand your frustration but if you focus less on your sent messages you might enjoy the site a little more.

Well actually Mark it does.

1. It is usually met with one of the following

"awww not your type hehe"

"Well you seem awesome I'd like to just be friends"

"Stuck up bitch"

"Hahaha obviously you're a guy!"

2. They are now past your filters and can message even when you block all men. To stop this you'd have to block each guy individually.

3. I don't want to.

Some profiles recieve 100s of messages a day, most of whom probably haven't bothered to read the profile. Also, lots of people can't take rejection, a polite "no thank you" is met with abuse. So yes, I'm afraid answering isn't always an option and like what has been said a thousand times before, no reply means no thanks

I wasn't being sarcastic. Apparently some people need to be told that people they want to fuck have time that's of value and don't want to have to dodge abuse or manipulation. Apparently fully grown adults don't realise the world doesn't revolve solely around them.

I'm hoping that pointing out another person's perspective will educate people who failed to develop capacity to understand that other people exist outside their desires.

You're probably right it does cost nothing to reply I'm not interested, but my experience on here has shown me that some people take a reply as a faint chance you might be.Ajf they keep messaging.

So now I can't be bothered wasting my time replying to most of the messages I get when I'm not interested, because I don't want to it's as simple as that. And I don't get a lot of messages but I'm not going to waste my time replying to those who clearly haven't read my profile.

For women if we don’t reply on here it means we are not interested.

The reason why we don’t respond or just hit the block button is because when we did we would get a load of abuse from men.

I only play with women which means I am the one sliding into their dms and I get the same thing, I take no offence to it, just move on to the next.

I certainly wouldn’t make any women feel bad or guilty for not responding even if we had been chatting for a bit.

Some people get scared when they realise that you are actually serious about meeting as the fantasy is becoming a reality. Some just are not into how you present yourself on here or something you said put them off.

Making a post about it on the forums where the very women you messaged can see won’t do you any favours.

Reading

I first look at profile and read. Yes if photos have a look at then also. Sometimes send wink . If depending on wording about looking for in profile a message. Then wait. If no reply or message unread. Do not contact again. This very easy to do ?

If looked , winked or messaged a profile . Fab shows on that profile when wink, message done. So do not try again.

Genuine questions: why do you feel entitled to a reply?

Do you get messaged first or are you the person always messaging ?

Are you confident if you received a message from someone you weren't interested in, you'd take the time to reply to every single one? Even if that was double/triple figures per day

Life is too short to get upset by not getting a reply. At the end of the day if someone deletes my message without replying it's no different to them replying "no thank you" - there won't be a meeting and there won't be any further emails (unless I reply to say "thanks for the reply, all the best" or some such).

What gets my mind whirring is when my message is read, not replied to, but not deleted either. I never know what to make of that. Are they keeping it because there's an interest? What other reason would there be to keep a message you don't reply to?

True, it is free, but it can be time consuming.

I do make the effort to say no thank you, as I can't do the searching myself.

I've opened my filters so I'll try to respond to everyone.

That usually ends in me getting brain ache and hiding, plus making me less likely to be able to have a decent conversation until my brain has recovered; which could spoil it for anyone I am chatting to.

If he did he would actually start to see what women deal with every day, as in the sheer volume of messages. This is a great idea

Gives op some perspective of what it means to be a woman on here

Yeah but... something something... manners... something... cost nothing... blah blah... women... yadda yadda... polite and respectful "

you missed "give us good guys a chance" and "spoiling it for others"

otherwise you'd have had a full house.

I give good guys a chance by not burning out my goodwill on little boys who can't follow the norms of the site and take no reply for an answer.

"Life is too short to get upset by not getting a reply.

What other reason would there be to keep a message you don't reply to?"

Sometimes there are ‘pest messagers’ (not saying you are), but there is a set of people who will continually message - the previous 15 messages have been deleted unread and that hasn't been accepted, so i will read the message and not reply. That seems to break the spell. I guess folk just want to be noticed.

I wouldn't say people 'keep' them, just don't get around to deleting messages. It's not that they're saving them for some reason. I've only recently started deleting messages at all

I remember once I got to about 20 before I pointed out that it was a copy and paste. He asked me how I knew. I pointed out the idiosyncratic typo he made every time.

Then he got mad.

Because we can't be arsed deleting. Trust me, we're not going back perving the pics you attached, we're just shit at admin.

Also, you can choose to auto delete your photos once a message has been read

"Also a reply to say no thanks stops future filters from working on your profile so I don't reply to anyone I'm not interested in.

Didn't know that!"

I didnt either till someone told me.

If you have engaged with someone either messaging or I believe winking too is able to still message you if you change your filters at a later date.

So say you message every single man back who sends you something then decide to block single men. All those who you have previously replied to are not blocked by the filter.

It stops the whole cycle and costs everyone a whole lot less.

But why do that when you can make your feelings someone else's problem?

Silence means just that,so much traffic and noise. Winks/peeps/messages dont mean a thing. Even a real meet there are too many odds in place!

Mostly coz of Bia's being carried arround and Baggage!!

The real approach you know where you stand.

I Ieave my number if no call, adios!

Its a numbers game. Best approach face to face

IMHO.

Noone owes anyone a reply, in my opinion.

I think it would be polite to reply if ...

1. Mesaager reads the profile

2. Delivers a message that is based on mutual likes

3. Answers the list of questions that are in said profile.

4. Uses language that is not text speak

5. Has written a message that is clearly not cut and paste

6. Has put the quirky animal/place/random vegetable in the title as requested.

But if they don't reply then that's tough shit. Nothing you can do, no need to get shitty. Have fun all xx

I know right? But the reality is that women will always be more laid back and only feel like they need to reply to men they want. Everyone else can just piss off.

You can be upset about it, or you can just accept the fact. Either way - the behaviour won't ever change.

Do you reply to every junk email you get? You know… the ones that you’ve zero interest in or didn’t ask for or that advertise things and places you would never want to do or visit? Didn’t think so…

It costs time, energy, and the ability to keep them out of your inbox in future by using the filters. Actually
