"Nope. Even if it’s 3am "

Oh wow that's a pig!

I've been awake since someone else got up for work and can't drop off. I think they got up at 5. I'm not really sure. I was hiding under the duvet trying to stay sleepy but it didn't work. Can't dro back off.

Watch me fall asleep at 6pm tonight!

Not easily unless I'm fucked back to sleep and snuggling into someone. If that doesn't happen? Nope. I'm wide awake.

I guess if I didn't check my phone, perhaps.

I've set my alarm for another hour away, but once my mind has started whirring, it is unlikely that I'll sleep.

Isn't that how it should be? I generally struggle around 3/4 until 8ish but by the time it's a reasonable time to go to bed, I'm wide awake again.

Thankfully yes as I've been waking up most nights lately. It was 3am this morning. Still took a good few hours to drop off again. At least my husband wasn't snoring this time

Inhale for 4 , hold for seven and exhale for 8 , meant to slow your heart rate down , enabling you to drift off , or something like that

No - if I wake at 2am, 3am..that’s it, up for the day. Have done the usual countdowns/meditative YouTubes/breathing exercises…etcetc The only thing that ‘works’ for me is to get up, exercise, cleaning, read, music. Exhaust myself basically and sleep better next time

I find if wake up early about 0430. ( used to have alarm go off when on day shifts) . I would be awake for couple hours . Then would fall asleep again. This I think when doing nights would be my bedtime . .

This is something I've struggled with the last several months due to stress and anxiety from work. I'll wake up at 2,3 or 4 in the morning and will only doze after that. Things are now improving on that front so I'm hoping the ability to sleep a full night will gradually return

Away for Christmas

Yes. Sometimes it depends on the reason why I woke up or what is on my mind once I'm awake.

Sometimes I need a wank to send me back to sleep. Other times I just need to close my eyes and I'm gone again. Sometimes a quick snack is needed.

It's definitely getting harder the older I get (wink) but I can do it especially if it's before 5am. Takes a while but I usually just think of some new made up crazy story and drift off again!
