Bareback

We have been reading a thread about bareback and unprotected penetration. From a woman’s point of view, if a 2nd man was involved with you and your partner, is a condom more for protection from an STI or to prevent any chance of pregnancy.

We discussed that unprotected sex, couldn’t really cause pregnancy these days with the ease of access to the morning after pill.

Is this something that any woman have considered or done to take away the pregnancy worry.

Obviously, a complete stranger may without knowing pass on an STI but if it was someone well known to you both, would bareback be easier to do without worry.

For me as a man personally if I was to be the third person I would obviously get a test done before any play happened. Sexual health is important and even then if the couple/single who I was playing with insisted on safe sex then a rubber hat would be put on….touch wood no STIs so far

It’s more for pregnancy risk for me. I’ve had some pretty tumultuous experiences with various contraceptions, including a major cancer scare caused by one certain brand.

I try to play protected mostly and always, always have condoms to hand, but it just isn’t as good, there is no getting around it. I try to judge as best I can and test regularly. Haven’t had anything so far.

The morning pill has a serious side effects and causes havoc within woman’s body.

It’s not something to be taken lightly.

Condoms all the way, always and in my case, additional contraception as I’m that paranoid.

Yes morning after pill is easily accessible but it screws with a woman's hormones.

It's not meant to be used as protection from pregnancy.

Taking more than once in a menstrual cycle can cause all kinds of hormonal imbalance.

So no, I don't consider this as a regular form of protection against pregnancy.

Guys and girls been trying to get me pregnant last 7 years, not happened yet. Continue trying, always wanted twins (boy & girl).

Joking aside, if not clean and or regularly tested then it's best to wear condom. If both are clean then it's all good, since much prefer BB sex.

Only way to eradicate risk entirely is to not have sex, since even with use of condom there's a slight risk present, as I've known condoms to tear.

Risk is significantly reduced with but still present.

There's a link at the bottom of the home page that has information about safer sex that will direct you to useful information. The best decisions are often those made with the most information

Unprotected sex absolutely *does* lead to pregnancy in many cases. The morning after pill isn't contraception and is extremely unpleasant to take not to mention not 100% effective.

My understanding is that the MAP is also not suitable for some sections of a menstrual cycle. As well as all the other reasons mentioned above.

We use condoms together to prevent pregnancy. So it's obvious we would use them with others to protect against both pregnancy and a degree of protection against STIs (although not 100% of course).

I conceived at the age of 46 while using condoms and we'd noticed no damage to any of them. I'd previously needed the MAP after two split condom incidents with a bad batch we received from the clinic. My experience tells me that condoms aren't 100% safe either.

Yes, we did stop using that particular batch of condoms after the second incident
