Face Pic Collectors

Hey all, I just wanted peoples opinion on this as I am sure that it’s happened to a lot of people on here.

You get asked for a face picture which is fine and understandable but here is the issue when you say yes no problem and could I see yours in return when you send the picture the person doesn’t respond back at all.

So here is the question, if you are going to ask for someone face picture then shouldn’t you at least have the respect to reply back instead of just ignoring the person if the person has been respectful to you even though you don’t show your own face picture or sometimes don’t even have any pictures on your profile.

I have experienced this mate it's a common thing if I don't get a face pick they don't get a meet.

I just find it funny that they ask for pictures and then don’t respond back even out of respect as if only they are allowed to be discreet and then crying on the updates that people are rude to them after they have basically invaded their privacy by asking for their face picture, after getting it not responding. I just feel that Fab should have a policy that we can report them to be banned for doing that

They maybe didn’t like what they got? Personally I would say so but not everyone would. If you’re a site supporter you can then delete your pic so it’s not about pic collectors.

Hope this helps OP and not everyone will be there to collect pics but if it worries you make use of the service that is provided.

Banned for what? Not sending a pic back?

You likely just weren't their type. If they say no thanks a lot of men get abusive so it's easier to say nothing.

They can ask for what they want, you don't have to send. That was your choice.

Personally I never ask, but I also don't send one just because they send one to me. I'll do it when I want and not expect anything in return.

Doesn’t stop the pic being saved though…… I actually asked a lady could I save her pic before I did…..

If I got a face pic and I wasn't attracted then I wouldn't send one back, same if I sent one to someone and we weren't for them I wouldn't expect one back.

If somebody straight up asks for a face pic and doesn't send one, I'm 100% not showing mine. This one to me is close to a red flag.

Sure it's a risk to send yours without being prompted and still not get one, but that's a more of a self initiated risk. Same as how I might not send my own in return if they send without me asking. No point if I'm not interested.

No point returning with a face pic of their own/your own if the attraction is not there and one or the other has no intention of continuing further.

There could be a few reasons. If someone sends us a face pic first and we don’t like what we see we wouldn’t send one back. It’s pointless.

We’ve also done this when we knew the person in real life so just blocked them.

Unfortunately, it happens. Same with any kind of pic swapping. Either they don't like what they see and easier to just no respond back rather than letting someone down. Or it pains me to say, a fake profile or collector. Part of the site unfortunately.

They are not collecting pictures. They are simply interested in seeing what you look like ...... and don't forget that a certain percentage of them are male or not up for meeting in any case.

I don't send facepics at all so anyone asking won't get one.

I've made enough comments on here over the years about how pics are passed around so anyone paying attention will already know they won't be getting one.

Anyone who does ask though in general should send theirs first.

My view is that it depends on who initiated the messaging.

If they messaged me first (I know, I know, it sounds unbelievable but sometimes they do. I’m equally as surprised as you are!) then I would expect them to send a face pic first.

I’ve had a few where they send a message to me first, we swap a few messages and then the “can you send me a face pic” message arrives.

Now if I initiate the conversation, or even if they did, I wouldn’t ask them for a face pic without sending one of me first. So in my opinion, the same principle should reply in reverse.

Due to the balance of power on here (the females holding most of the cards) they know most men will jump through any hoops in the hope the getting a meet.

Only send first if you’re happy to and don’t expect anything back and then you won’t be disappointed!

No reply just means they're not interested, not sure what you think they're doing with all the face pics... I delete and don't think anymore about it.

If someone is asking us to see face pics I’d expect them to send theirs along with the message.

The reason for the no response is probably because they aren’t interested.

I personally don’t mind sending a face picture privately although I totally understand your sentiment OP. I’ve even had people messaging me and asking ME to first provide a face picture which is honestly baffling.

The worse however is when one is asked to send a dick pic on top of a face pic. I understand gender dynamics clearly favour ladies (whether single or in a couple) and that some can get away with such demands. But the lack of reciprocity in those situations makes me think that these people aren’t principled and do not care about preserving other people’s discretion.

I've never shared a facepic in a groupchat and on this occasion I wasn't even in the group so someone else who was part of group was passing my pic around.

It’s pretty easy to find out who these people are. 2 users were actually booted out of a chat group that I was part of for doing it. They were so blasé about what they had done and their excuses pretty lame and childish it was laughable. They had obviously been doing this for such a long time that it had become ‘their norm’

I know exactly who I have directly shared my pic with over the years here because it's something I've only done a handful of times.

I've no idea who they have subsequently shared it with.

Since being followed home by a local who had seen my face I'm wary of sending mine first, or after someone has sent theirs.

Some people don't like rejection and could use the photo to identify you.

I fully understand that men might feel like that too.
