My nan’s spare room.

Hi people, how many of you have had meets that didn’t turn up on time.

I read veris that say turned up on time, surely turning up on time is the norm and if someone is late, I’d imagine there’s a reasonable reason.

How long is acceptable to be late.

Surely that’s forgivable.

.

I generally had a 15min rule. Any later and you should at least let someone know.

I find most do. Within a few minutes either way. Unless hit by the joys of gridlock Britain of course.

But in these "modern" days of phones, emails, texts, messenger services, postcards, telegrams and baked bean cans on a length of string sure anyone can get waylaid but just let the people you're meeting know!

Its really not hard!

the middle

My first meet was for a social, they turned up 10 minutes late. I’d driven 2 hours to get there so I wasn’t leaving so quickly. They turned up after saying they were on their way and even made up for it by paying for my drinks and lunch

I’ve been 30 minutes late for a hotel meet with a couple because of a smash on the motorway but I kept updating them with pictures of the sat nav showing time of arrival and where I was when the car was stationary.

I've heard that a lot of men are premature, nothing to be ashamed of

If she’s 10 mins late, she’s already missed an orgasm.

I'm always early and I hate waiting for people, if you're late, I'm in a bad mood already. Or I've had a rum without you so I could be happy.

I have been late for meet ups It usually happens when I'm travelling because I'm the type who second guesses the sat nav quite a lot or sometimes I stop listening to the sat nav or completely zones it out because I'm too excited about who I'm meeting. I always let them know if I'm running late though..would never leave anyone hanging. who does that

I always aim to be on time. If there is any chance if being late I let them know; it is the very least, respectful thing, to do.

I also confirm in the days coming up to the meet I will be there. None of this "we will meet Tuesday week at 10am" and then total radio silence.

I've never been late to a meet or been a no show. If anything I'm always early.

I've never had a no show either and from memory they have all turned up on time so it has never been an issue.
