"When you feel too old. I tend to tone it down a little now. I won't wear short skirts and a low top at the same time when I go out and I will only wear a short skirt with boots. It *shouldn't* matter but people judge." I am not quite ready yet! Luckily time and some hard work has kept me in ok shape. I love people looking, and so does hubby!!

"Mrs loves to dress really naughty when going out. See through tops and short skirts. What is the general view on when people are too old to do this? When they are dead" Even then you could request to be dressed in your favourite mini skirt for your final journey

"So when I'm 85 if I get on the bus in a mini skirt and see through top with no bra? Nobody will stare or assume I'm in the early stages of dementia?" Let ‘em stare, you’ll have forgotten by the time you get off the bus anyway, or where you were going in the first place.

" very true My dad got off the bus once to find a naked man standing at the bus stop. The police arrived in short order and took him back to hospital. I do think society will judge a woman who dresses provocatively at any age and the judgement gets harsher the older you get.

"We judge ourselves with the same eyes we judge others. I don't think it's necessarily that we worry about what others think, we're worrying about what we think about ourselves. " You could be right. I'm wearing an outfit today I wouldn't dream of wearing outside of the house or garden.

""When I am an old woman I shall wear purple With a red hat which doesn’t go, and doesn’t suit me. And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves And satin sandals, and say we’ve no money for butter."" My mum used to quote that. Why do we have to wait until we're old?

Something you'd expect to see on a much younger woman than I. Personally I think I look great, Mr N thinks so too. I still wouldn't wear it out because I wouldn't feel comfortable. I would wear these clothes on holiday though. I don't know how I feel about it really because I strongly believe that we should wear exactly what we want and it doesn't matter what other people think. Then I take into at what other people *might* think .

In general I don't really care what people think or say about my personality or looks but the way I was brought up has made me quite conscious of how I dress. Even Mr N would tell me that I couldn't wear a particular outfit to visit my parents and he'd have me walking around in next to nothing

They're more jeans and a top kind of people. I never wear jeans except for football practice with the boys. Got asked in work this week where I get my clothes from. And someone said you never wear trousers. And another colleague said she did once, when it was snowing. Which is true, was wearing hiking shoes the lot just in case I had to walk home. I just like looking different to everyone else.

"When you feel too old. I tend to tone it down a little now. I won't wear short skirts and a low top at the same time when I go out and I will only wear a short skirt with boots. It *shouldn't* matter but people judge." As long as there's no nipplage it wouldn't matter to me.

"If the women have the legs for short skirts then I’d say go for it The low cut top is either inviting men to ogle her or maybe she’s getting at her partner " But the "if they have the legs for it", is a different kind of judgement in itself though. Everyone judges in some form or another.

"I'm probably considered very conservative in my dress sense, in that I don't wear anything 'revealing '. It does sadden me a little that being considered dressed sexy ( for a woman) usually involves showing either legs or cleavage " I tend to agree. I think people can look sexy without wearing revealing clothes.
