"Good to read you have managed to drop the nicotine for so long OP! I can’t help with this thread but good luck D." Thanks. I'm a little shocked at myself. But maybe when I set my mind to something I can nail it. (Not sure that applies to men though)

"I do the intermittent fasting lifestyle 20/4 and feel 100% better for it … 2 big meals a day and black coffee or water only during the fast. Amazing benefits " +1 on this, although 16/8 may be easier to maintain to start with good weight loss/avoidance...and less carbs more protein, fibre and healthy fats (for good energy). Good on you for quitting, I did a few years back (along with alcohol) and feel better than I have ever felt in my life,my mental health as much as my physical wellbeing. X

"That's awesome! One food idea for people who haven't tried it - Huel! It's been at least one meal (or 2) per day for me for a long time. More than 2000 meals of Huel and I have the t-shirt to prove it. It's a great, nutritionally complete food choice." Oh I watched an insta on this where she absolutely slated it. Based on the oils in it and the fact it had oats which convert to sugar. That said she was also selling her own stuff so I'm sitting on the fence a little but the oils alone put me off.

"6 months off the cigs, still vaping Also just ate two Krispy Kreme’s back to back so I don’t think I’m the best to give advice on this one! " High ten!!! Are you reducing the nic down? That's how I quit. ...and I envy your ability to eat two KK back to back. I usually like going halves each with someone in one. Or I feel sick.

"Well done for quitting smoking and sticking to it! I’ve not got any advice, as everyone’s body is different, but I am rooting for you. As someone who is also petite, I know exactly how challenging it can be to keep our bodies in the shape we prefer them." Thank you lovely.

"I'm actually having breakfast such is a start right? Even though it's lunchtime... 2 slices of smoked bacon, one egg done in the air fryer and 2 slices of toast (seeded bread) " You go woman! I had 0fat greek yogurt with banana and strawberries. I've had 0fat cottage cheese and ryvita crackbread for lunch so far I'm trying to resist the liquorice all-sorts now.

"Well done for quitting smoking! I might do this because I try to eat well but have a sweet tooth tat just won't quit. Some accountability and shame might stop me picking up the biscuits " Yay...exactly that. As long as people are honest it could work.

I’ve reduced from 18mg liquid down to 9mg although I feel I’m vaping more to make up the difference. I’ve got another two KK left which I’ve failed to palm off on my coworkers so I’m willing to give them away for a fab or two

" It's things like this that make me glad I'm not on any of the Meta apps. So, no oils meaning no fat and no carbs, so what does she want people to eat? Protein powder?! Weight management is really simple - CICO (calories in, calories out). If it's positive, you gain weight (which may not be a bad thing) and vice versa. You'll need some fat component in a balanced diet and unsaturated oils (like in vegetable oils) are the best for that. Also, not all carbohydrates are sugars. You can see exactly how much sugars are in a product in their labeling. Spoiler: it's a very low amount in Huel. In fact, oats have a low glycemic index - so they convert into glucose slower and keep you full longer (think the opposite of a sugar rush). Porridge is a very filling breakfast, right? The Black Edition doesn't have oats (has tapioca instead) if you'd prefer that. Sorry, bit of a brain dump here - but yeah, please look for the review of a registered dietitian at least, not the musings of an Instagram "influencer".

Thank you, like I said I was sitting on the fence because she was selling her own products. And I hadn't researched the facts she gave. But that's simply because I need to be on a fat free diet for a completely different reason so I'm avoiding fats where possible. Though I still need to hit 40g of fat a day.

"I do the intermittent fasting lifestyle 20/4 and feel 100% better for it … 2 big meals a day and black coffee or water only during the fast. Amazing benefits " Same here. Plus clean keto, I’ve been doing this for years. As terrifying as people think it is, it’s actually quite possibly the best thing I’ve ever done.

"Who's up for this? I've quit smoking, 8 months off the cigarettes, 2 months 3wks off nicotine. And I've gained weight. Like you do. I ate all the wrong things during the withdrawal phases. So I'm trying to eat healthy. As a motivation if I post what I eat and I'm bollocked for the bad stuff or rated badly I'll strive more for a higher rating. Competitive me. Who else fancies doing this? To help keep you on the straight and narrow and in the process maybe share food ideas? So at the end of today the healthy ones, fitness ones can rate what we've eaten for the day. But in a fun way? " Well done you should be really proud of yourself Unfortunately I think I’ll just lead you astray with my constant snacking

If it's a health reason, then I guess that's different. Although with 12g per meal, you could use it as part of your diet. Best to consult with a doctor of course (assuming they've prescribed this low-fat diet). I'm starting to sound like a Huel spokesperson now, so I'll stop!
