I think two threads is probably the limit for me today.

The weekend is very close isn't it? What are you up to? Is there anything that might make you potentially smile?

Have a good one you lovely lot! x

We have a long drive home today from a wonderful child free 4 nights holiday on the South coast.

I'll be spending the weekend unpacking, washing clothes then getting organised for a long weekend away next weekend incl a Fab friends wedding.

Hope you enjoy the Manchester social Meli.

I was going to go and watch Shrek the musical but we don't have the money at the moment and I had a very bad migraine attack yesterday so have to take it easy. So lots of rest for me this weekend which will be nice as I've had a very busy week.

What about you Meli?

Have been chatting with a very lovely and gorgeous man for the past week, with the view to meeting up. Feeling nervous though, as I've been away from Fab for the past year and this will be the first meet since coming back

So damn nosey, Meli!

Nothing overly exciting for me. Uncle duties have been invoked.

I'm working tomorrow and having a day with an utterly gorgeous friend on Sunday.

Enjoy the social Meli and everyone else who is going... I'm not envious at all

If I have my way I would be spending it on my own, but it looks like that is unlikely, the happy side is it will involve home made don't ask about the calories cake.

Oh how was it? I hope you had a fantastic time together and you're able to get more child free weekends!

Thank you, I'm hoping it's a lot of fun. Limiting tequila though as I've got other plans.:D

Covent Garden

I'm going to the nickleodean on Saturday to watch Oppenheimer. I've heard it's over ³ hours long and I'm wondering if there will be an intermission, just like how it used to be in the old days.

I mean three hours sitting on a plush leather banquette is quite an endurance.

I'm working tonight and Sunday.

Tomorrow I have more birthday plans. (totally spinning out turning 40) afternoon tea with a beautiful friend.

Then I may have other plans but they have been cancelled twice so far so not holding my breath!!

Since the pub closed down last year, the locals have not been happy. A group of them have taken to opening the village hall on a Saturday night so that they can have some socialisation.

I have thought about going, but it filled me with anxiety and I just bought a kebab and a bottle of rum then hid myself away like the ugly duckling.

This week I am going to show my face and have a pint with some people I live with but do not yet know. Complete strangers who will judge for all time me based upon meaningless chit chat about lionesses and potholes. I will be careful not to drink too much, but not so little as I look like I don't want to be there. I will be polite and unopinionated and forgiving when faced with people I find abrasive.

I will buy a kebab and a bottle of rum and hide away like the ugly duckling to avoid all of that social interaction.

I'm making the most of my last couple of days of my week off, been nice just to sit and relax and not be exhausted by the end of the day.

Window shopping for outfits for a social next month and just having some me time

I may smile after the rum though.

It is nearly the weekend, isn't it. Mine's pretty uneventful.

I'm visiting an old friend on Sunday - I know I'll enjoy it when I'm there, but at the moment the prospect of the journey etc is not making me smile.
