We need a new printer which also scans. Anybody recommend a simple straightforward one to buy please?

Things to think about.

Printer ink cartridges are an absolute almighty rip-off that should really be criminal.

If I had to get a new printer, I'd get a b&w laser which requires generic toner so I can't be taken for a ride. For the very rare occasions I need to print in colour I'll go to a high street print shop.

For scanning I would get a standalone flatbed scanner. They are not expensive.

It's time to stop playing the game printer manufacturers play to milk money out of us.
