Where would we be without them?

They come in all shapes and sizes but never seem to get the same respect as other members of the cutlery family.

Always ladled as the sensible one and not as angry as brother knife or as misunderstood as sister fork.

They are always the least popular choice for backstabbers but first in line at soupeaters anonymous meetings.

Let's hear it for your favourite spoons.

The spoon theory[a] is a metaphor describing the amount of physical and/or mental energy that a person has available for daily activities and tasks, and how it can become limited. It was coined by writer and blogger Christine Miserandino in 2003 as a way to express how it felt to have lupus; explaining the viewpoint in a diner, she gave her friend a handful of spoons and described them as units of energy to be spent performing everyday actions, representing how chronic illness forced her to plan out days and actions in advance so as to not run out of energy.

I like these spoons.these spoons have been a great way to express one of my illnesses. These are my favourite spoons.
