Ok on this site it gives you options.. my thoughts, for men, slim = 30 inch waist 36 inch chest, no meat on him. Athletic means .. 32/34 inch waist, no fat 46 inch chest and can run like feck or lift weights. Average means, he really doesnt do too much but has thought about it. Chubby means hes over weight but a smiley good guy.

Women... slim, size err not good at this 6_8.. slim no fat but not gym ripped. Athletic, gym fit abs maybe some muscle and a spring in their step. Average.. not sure size 14 _16, not go to gym, like me .. but a nice shape. Curvy.. not too sure about, maybe a lady who is large boned or tall and feels she has big boobs.. large, obviously a bit bigger, fabulous... size 4 to 6! and fit as an olympic hurdler... is there a fabulous setting for blokes? if so Tom Daly i guess

A male friend of mine had a 40 inch waist and weighed 21 stone but was the definition of athletic cos he was a professional athlete. He just happened to be 6ft10 and in proportion.

Setting rules will never work as there will always be exceptions, not everyone knows their measurements, many will use out of date ones and some will lie.

Use your judgement, check out pics and veris and reserve the right to walk away if someone is.not as advertised.

I am average as you call it I exercise regularly. Push bike every day walking swimming. But do you know what I am happy in who I am. Sizest is not a pretty thing either.

Now this is just my opinion, but when I see on a guys profile "average" I think 36-38 waist and 42-44 chest. And for women size 12-14.

But that vision is usually shattered on meeting as it never takes into account someone's height.

There are far too many variables to make any assumption on this subject as everyone is built differently. It does still amuse me when my Wii fit tells me my ideal weight is 12st 8! I've not been that weight since I was 13, I'm 6'2 and fit but at my "ideal weight" I reckon I'd look ill.

Clearly wrong as I could fit into your fabulous and slim but I am also athletic.

As said it varies on each individual due to height and bone structure.

On here I list myself as slim because I don't think athletic is a flattering term, I'd be more suited to petite, but then my boobs wouldn't fit that category!

That's where you are wrong I am 32 to 34 inch waist chest is 46 and I'm not a top class bodybuilder I've got a bit of a tummy but I am small framed

I'm 6ft 2 tall, 32 waist and weigh about 12st 8lbs and I don't look ill, quite the opposite in fact, as I try to go to the gym, eat healthily but don't eat much protein and have a fast metabolism. I have to cut my nails weekly and my hair grows fast. Like someone just said, too many variables to make any broad size labels fit (ho ho) any criteria. Ps. I have a pert bum.

They are only lying to theirselves. I couldn't think of much worse than turning up at a meet and seeing the disappointment on someone's face when they realise I'm not as nice as the photos. So would never mess around with the pictures.
