If I say I'm meeting I'm always turning up. Not sure what the deal is with some guys. I guess they may be intimidated.

Dont give it much thought tbh.

Been talking to someone recently, loose arrangement to meet socially on sunday, boom he goes MIA.

I dont know what's going on in his life do I so I just pass on it.

Not worth getting upset over it.

It's not just guys, its all about talking the talk and not walking walk.

Not looking for guys - been there done that but

For guys its often the chase they are after, not the outcome, want to feel they still can pull. Some may just be nerves and lack of confidence.

Guys brag a lot on sites like this - usually all big talk. So in the end some guys may feel they have a lot to live upto, if they meet they may disappoint end up being named and shamed. Others have other reasons - many other threads on that subject.

Women - my area of interest its often more about the fantasy often just want that. Others just doing it for their partner and not really into it if partner can't join in. Have organised girly meets in the past and only one or two if any would turn up, not that I'm complaining . One once turned up with partner

It's not really ghosting if you haven't met the person though and/or been in some form of relationship with them.

I believe a lot of the guys on here live in their own little fantasy world. They brag in messages about their size, stamina, conquests etc. But they know that after all this they'll never be able to meet because the reality is a stark contradiction.

For example:

"I have ten throbbing inches and I can fuck for hours/days/weeks nonstop culminating in a cum eruption so huge and fierce it'll fill a water bed in the blinking of an eye"

Translates into:

"I have a mini twiglet and on an exemplary day I could possibly last two maybe even three minutes finishing with a slight dribble that wouldn't be enough to rehydrate one of those tiny chunks of carrot you find in Pot Noodles".

I don’t do no shows or time waste

But I think some just bottle it when it comes to meets, it’s just a thrill of the chase for them. which obviously does not fair really well for the rest of us. (bloody twats or dickheads)

I would suggest keep it within 10 miles, so at the very least, if anything changes or happens you still can do things or even arrange another social

I don't know either, and I don't understand it. Men here are by far and wide desperate alone to the fact that they outnumber the women and couples. So they finally DO get a date, and then don't show? It makes no sense.

My best guess is: They hold you as an option, but when the time comes, they aren't ready to take up on it because they were never that attracted in the first place.

Men don't generally play ego games the way women do by just seeing if someone is interested. Men play ego games by banging as many as possible (it is just different for men and women).

Read my messages no response.. hey ho.. life goes on, read their profile a few days later and they were moaning about something..

I've experienced that, but with ladies/couples. However, I then assume the profile was an elaborate fake.... and possibly not a female/couple at all, which makes me feel even more embarrassed

Never ghosted anyone but had it happen to me after after chatting for ages, having a social and arranging a play meet at HER suggestion. Didn't cancel - just didn't answer messages on the day and then blocked me few hours before. This lady described herself a strong but polite with good manners or words to that effect. Still on here saying how she respects honesty and manners. A few months later noticed she had unblocked me so asked her what happened. She said "I just got a better offer" and anyway "you are ugly, smelly and a disgusting person". I had done nothing to provoke that - guess I got off lightly as my veri might not have been great Some people male and female are just cockwombles.

And if a man doesn't show up and ghosts...he's more than likely attached!

This may be controversial but I actually feel for women who are stood up more than men. I actually think it's super shitty to do if they have started to get ready because we all know women put in GRAFT before a meet whereas all a man does is put cologne on his pubes.

Wait is that just me?

This is all spot on however it doesn't justify men actually arranging a date and not turning up or giving notice beforehand to cancel. The empathy in those situations from the man is a grand total of 0 and my advice would be to never deal with them again.

It's also why I could never say I'll fuck you alllllll night

That's why it's protection. If they ghost you , It's a clear insight into who they probably are as a person, so as a woman you've probably dodged a bullet.

It's somewhat bizarre to me that men are doing this, given how hard it is in general for single men to stand out and how outnumbered we are, seems insane.

In business, it’s often said that you haven’t closed a deal until the money is actually wired into the account.

I kind of take the same approach when it comes to online dating: I just assume that a meeting is *not* going to happen until I see the person turn up in the flesh. Sad state of affairs but one has to protect their mental well being.
