philly

I have a "lifestyle club" mardi gras party this weekend. I've been shopping for party things and putting them in a pile on my suitcase.

The kids (twin 9 year olds) keep trying to help find me certain colors I need. They asked me "who are you dressing up as?" I had to explain this is just a fun party where dad and I can dress up silly like we were kids, dance and hang w/ friends.... Oh, so you're re-living your childhood!?

I guess so. But I still dont see me as old. Lol

Funny how young minds think.

Kids are so funny i have a 7 year old girl who recently found one of my thigh high boots and came down in it...

And asked why i had it and when did i ever wear it..

Whilst my brother and 16 year old son were sat on the sofa...I was horrified and said id got it for a fancy dress party, tarts and vicars

To which my 7 year old said"the vicar at school doesn't have cool boots"

i was watching a rather amusing durex advert yesterday that was posted to my wall on facebook.. (looked liked some animal balloons but they were durex condoms in various positions)

and she ran over because of the noise and said 'never seen balloons dancing mummy.. then burst out laughing'

He's terrible, if I go anywhere near the condom aisle, he goes mad at me, then wanders off in the supermarket. He really does think I'm too old for sex!

Beeston

I had just clambered in the car with my girlfriend of a few months and her three kids when her daughter, age 8, loudly announced 'Mummy and Gary are in love and are having sex!'

I resisted the urge to tell her it was actually loads of sex and we'd been at it for months ...

Her mum turned crimson and told her quietly that it was inappropriate. I just sat there trying not to laugh

Mine is to be passed onto another friend who has the password. There are pics of her on it too so she has a great incentive to ensure it gets cleared.

It's children's logic - and in a way you are. You are allowing yourself to play and let go. It's just that as an adult there is a little more to it.
