I have learned to listen to the positives, look at the evidence that you are attractive and ignore the voices in your head etc etc.

I saw your profile once or twice, you are pretty good looking aren't you? I think the majority of people probably are better-looking than they think they are as there is so much anxiety surrounding it. Look how Wonko turned out, do you remember the way he used to speak? I nearly fell off my chair when I saw his photo and didn't feel like I had to immediately run to the lavatory. He's a decent looking chap who called himself utterly unsightly for years. I don't have the guts to show my face properly unfortunately, kudos to you both.

I’m not bad looking. So say others anyway

I totally agree, we all rate ourselves lower. But I also think some of it is to protect us from the rejection. I’ve been told publicly I’m ugly, I’ve been ‘humbled’ and it’s not nice. I think for ages I said I was ugly so that nobody would tell me it. also as a you can’t hurt me I already know. But I think we all want to be found attractive. Deep down.

When one guy told me i bet you was good looking when you was a lot younger.

Told me all i needed to know lol.

56 year old going bald ,overweight,covered in scars i would not even try to guess at giving myself a score out of 10.

I have met guys younger who by social norms would be classed athletic and handsome.

getting to know them i have found many are just as insecure about their body or looks in some way.

most people can be their own worst critic at times
