Do many of you realise that the term BBC has roots in the trade triangle.

The racism in the scene really does need to stop. Black men are not your objects. They are not just black cocks.

Have a preference for whoever you like. It's called preference for a reason. Find whoever you want attractive, but LEAVE THE RACISM OUT OF IT!!!!

STOP!

BLACK PEOPLE ARE HUMAN BEINGS!!!!!

WE ARE NOT YOUR OBJECTS! YOUR WHITE FOREFATHERS LIED TO YOU. WE DO NOT BELONG TO WHITE PEOPLE!

Rant over!

"But many profiles on here advertise themselves as 'BBC available for your pleasure ' etc."

Correct. Black man need to stop labelling themselves with that too. It's a label for black men constructed by white people. Many black people use it as a way to get acceptance and guarantee themselves some pussy.

They'll even degrade themselves by calling themselves BBC. Another issue, linked to low self esteem and ego issues in black men.

Also consider, many black people will call each other the racist "n" word. White people cannot do it or throw it around. It's rude and it's racist.

I am not racist in anyway, I dislike people due to their personality.

But assuming a black man has a big cock is racial stereotyping. I have met many people through swinging and a lot of the black guys I have met have been smaller than me.

I am attracted to all kinds of different people for all kind of different reasons. I do not have preferences per se and what I fancy one day may not the next.

I don’t think folks on here use it as a derogatory term more to state a preference of what they are looking for.

I have no idea where the term originated so cannot comment on that.

It is not direct lie told by parents to children. Many white people have learned that they are superior because of how they were raised.

Generations after generations of degrading people and treating ethic minorities as below and having advantages over black people. That is a lesson that has come down the generation and is a lesson. It's also a lie.

And yes black men. If you call yourself BBC you are helping this along. Stop!

When people stop using the term in their own profile names, bio, messages and veris - I'll maybe think about it.

But for now, regardless of it's "roots" it is purely a descriptive term right out of the Ronseal book of naming things.

So why not simplely say, I have a preference for black men. There are some women on here that call themselves Queen of Spades ffs. Rules and queen's of black men's cocks! The mind boggles!

The term BBC or Big Black Cock has roots in racism. The BBC is possibly the most prominent trope when it comes to black male sexuality. In a society that praises hyper-masculinity, this is arguably a good thing – a ‘positive’ stereotype. But originally, it was used to dehumanize. A large penis was depicted as brutalistic, used as evidence for hyper-sexuality, hyper-aggression in the days of the trade triangle. These were factors used to justify their inferior and object status.

Ok hate acronyms in general. I don't even like the term BBW despite having a preference for women of that nature, as it suggests a fantasist approach and I don't like that. Even when I come across a profile that says BBC only, it makes me cringe and shiver at the disrespect personally.

I went to a multi-ethnic school and I don't remember having attended that lesson. Apropos, I've never felt superior to anyone of a different race to me.

I’ve experienced it hundreds of times, more than I could count. And in some very extreme ways too (to the extent to having police involvement).

So I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss a problem just because it hasn’t happened to you.

What has accepting everyone got to do with my original post? Has the issue of race got you so uncomfortable you need to change the subject? I don't need to "accept" everyone nor does anyone else.

Fortunately it's not a term I have any need of and I would respect any body's request not to use terms they find unnecessarily offensive.

However, I don't think the origins of a term necessarily make a term racist or not now. Words change meaning and implication. The word wicked for example comes from witchcraft. People who use the term now would never have witchcraft in mind in normal circumstances.

If a woman is attracted to black men, I don't have a problem with that, or if they like big cocks. There's a term available for them both together. It can be used insensitively or with people who accept the term enthusiastically. I think the way it is used now and the attitudes that come with it are what should matter, not the origins of the term from over 100 years ago.

Op this subject has been done to death

All you'll find is black men that use to term because it helps them to get their leg over and white people who tell you whether they find it offensive, even though race fetishism doesn't affect them in the slightest

The best you can do is just block those who use the term and ignore it

Yes of course there is. That doesn't mean we ignore, step over, side step and close our eyes to the bad that's happening.

Not all white women that have a preference for black men is racist. Not every white person is racist. But its common- as you said in your first reply and should be addressed. Unapologetically.

And as for black kids killing each other, crime, drugs, prison populations etc, these are all other socio- economic issue that needs to be addressed.

It has nothing to do with scene or what I was actually talking about.

Fwiw, I agree with you OP. I've seen plenty of references to "wife wants her first BBC" as though black men are just cocks and nothing else. The "it's just preference" crew will be along shortly. As usual.

Black men can label themselves whatever they want - doesn't mean the rest of us need to objectify them.

But - ranting at people tends to antagonise people and they're less likely to engage with the issue.

OP, I don't disagree with you but this is not necessarily the correct forum for your rant. You're simply preaching to the converted. For those who need educating on this stereotype are far less likely to venture into the fora and take heed of your words.

I just performed a search within my locale - London/30 mile radius, black men - and out of the 300 entries 125 of them were self-proclaimed "BBC". It's not helping their cause if they are self-perpetuating that label.

Also, of those 300 men a high 'proportion' of them are exclusively looking to sleep with white women. I can only presume that during pillow talk and them whispering sweet nothings into their ears they are unsuspectingly giving their white lovers credence that the term BBC is somewhat acceptable (clearly it's not)...and thus those white women are (presumably) accepting the erroneous gospel. This is all presumption, of course... ...

I don't like the term BBC whatsoever.

Oh OK then. Its all fine we can all be racist to each other then. No need to speak up and make a change???

Wow that was easy. I didn't realise it was just a phase like the terrible twos.

My point is that you mentioned that black people don't belong to white people, it seems a very strong opinion of yours. I can add vice versa as nobody belongs to anyone and people is free to live with who they want , fuck with who they want

Absolutely agree. We can fuck whoever we like but that doesn't mean we get to degrade a whole race of people while you're at it. Fuck who you want - leave the racism out of it.

All you'll find is black men that use to term because it helps them to get their leg over and white people who tell you whether they find it offensive, even though race fetishism doesn't affect them in the slightest

The best you can do is just block those who use the term and ignore it "

Agreed, taking offence is one thing, it's not universal and objective, it is personal and subjective. And things that personally offend you, that you want people to stop saying, are just another way of saying you are incapable of controlling your own emotions so you want everyone else to do it for you.

No that's not what it is saying at all, and especially when the subject matter is about race.

Race fetism is a thing and if people want to talk about it it does not mean that they "can't control their emotions"

"Fortunately it's not a term I have any need of and I would respect any body's request not to use terms they find unnecessarily offensive.

That would be true if its effects still weren't being felt. They did an interesting study in a school where they found that black and white children scored similarly on associating more negative words with black people. After a few weeks education both groups then scored much lower and the black kids lower still.

Finding racism offense is not a demonstration of inability to control my emotions but a demonstration of people being unable and unwilling to treat others with respect irrespective of the colour of their skin.

I don't want people to stop being racist so I can control my emotions better. It's so that we can all live on this earth and be treated like the human beings that we are, instead an inferior subsect of people.

Funny how wanting to stop racist fetishization becomes me wanting someone else to control my emotions for me. We don't want to look at the wrong in it. Very interesting.

It is not direct lie told by parents to children. Many white people have learned that they are superior because of how they were raised.

Not all white women that have a preference for black men is racist. Not every white person is racist. But its common- as you said in your first reply and should be addressed. Unapologetically.

And as for black kids killing each other, crime, drugs, prison populations etc, these are all other socio- economic issue that needs to be addressed.

You assume a lot there op and speaking for every black guy on here at the same time. Ive seen plenty of profiles which describe themselves as BBC but maybe they should check with their spokesperson next time they use it first. From the friends I have who are POC... It's as much about systemic racism.

Medically (for example) while womens pain is dismissed by doctors at a far higher rate than mens... Women of colour are dismissed at a much higher rate than caucasian women.

And the amount of people who won't try to learn how to pronounce someone's name correctly - imagine if someone continually mispronounced your name, or just decided they would call you something else entirely because it's easier...

The OP is quite correct, the term BBC is racist. I have a list of potential candidates for my gangbangs and I've removed 3 of them from that list who have used that term on their profiles. My eyes have been opened, but my legs will remain closed to them. Thanks OP

From the friends I have who are POC... It's as much about systemic racism.

Medically (for example) while womens pain is dismissed by doctors at a far higher rate than mens... Women of colour are dismissed at a much higher rate than caucasian women.

And the amount of people who won't try to learn how to pronounce someone's name correctly - imagine if someone continually mispronounced your name, or just decided they would call you something else entirely because it's easier..."

Just to add . In reference to the above I have a Gaeilge bame (on my passport). People mispronounce it once, maybe twice but then funnily enough they are ok with it... Some of my Pakistani and Indian friends however... Years people call them the wrong name.

Rant will never be over OP.

People far better and of greater intelligence than us have been battling with this systemic disease.

Racism, etc. will continue to exist until we learn to accept each others as equals "human beings".

Racism should offend everyone, surely?

It's not racism if the next 50 black guys that send you a message have BBC in their name, bio or status. If they are using it themselves, clearly they don't have an issue. QED, it is personally subjective.

You've switched to another argument. Haven't replied to the comments about saying the OP can't control her emotions. And you're white and deciding what racism is. Huh.

No, the hundreds of other black guys that use the term BBC kind of did that already.

If people are offended by something that other people aren't, we can't help that.

Want to stop people using the term BBC? Tell all the black guys to stop using it first.

Are you 12?"

Clearly not, but you are picking a fight over an issue that has nothing to do with you or me.

They will use that term for themselves and if you don't like it, good luck calling a black guy a racist.

How is this connected to the trade triangle, I am actually intrigued where you have got this information from ?

Is it the abbreviation element, of the description of a colour and a large cock that offends you?

For example:

BWC = Big white cock

BBC = Big Black Cock

I don't see how this is being racist when it's basically an abrevitaion of a descriptive !

OP, before you call me a racist, My great grandfather was from Jamaica now deceased. I think it's another thing to moan about or some sort of attention seeking.

I am happy for you to educate me on why this is directly from the trade triangle, of course it has to be factual.

It irks me to see black men degrade themselves to get this. To say it has nothing to do with white people demonstrates your ignorance. I'm guilty of using BBC, BWC, etc. sometimes when I chat with folks, I cannot deny that. As they use it with me when in conversation.

If I've ever offended anyone then for that I sincerely apologise. You should all know I'm anything but racist and do not consider myself any different from anyone else na matter the colour of skin, sex, religion, etc.

I'm a human being trying to be a better person, which in truth isn't at all easy.

Read further up. I explained. And yes, this issue needs to moaned about and attention given to it. And having some distant relative with a bit of ethnicity in them doesn't absolve someone from being racist.

"But many profiles on here advertise themselves as 'BBC available for your pleasure ' etc.

What's wrong with people labeling themselves what they want.

Race play/fetishism is very real & it's not something I'd partake in - the thought alone gives me the ick, however there are others who are super keen to do so...

Sometimes I think people use terms like BBC as they're not sure what other terminology to use. I think it's not only offensive, but also lazy & dehumanising to reduce a person to a label...

I try not to reduce anyone to a single label or attribute, but if I say "you're a dick" - it's not a compliment...

Also shouting and telling people what to do and think only gets their backs up.

Rant over! "

If someone men want to label themselves that way and accept other using it too then I do not see the issue here.

I'm not big on labels myself and wish people would just do their thing and enjoy but I'd say it's bound to happen that people want to describe something they like or want etc.

It's not a term I'd use but I rouldnt call snyone out got it if they were a reasonable and respectful person otherwise.

I think the point "some" people above are pointing out is the term is somehow derogatory and the race element is discriminatory.

Well, deliberately seeking someone out so you can have sex with them based on colour isn't discriminatory, it's objectification. That's a whole extra argument.

"Do many of you realise that the term BBC has roots in the trade triangle.

Rant over!

Why so much drama ? All lifes matter no matter what. Op are you clean hands when comes to accept everyone without being judgemental?

Personally, I dislike the term all lives matter. All lives matter, when black lives matter too. Historically they haven't. Hence, the refrain of "black lives matter". Saying "all lives matter" (which of course they do) minimises the reason why people say "black lives matter"

What has accepting everyone got to do with my original post? Has the issue of race got you so uncomfortable you need to change the subject? I don't need to "accept" everyone nor does anyone else.

It comes down to keeping racist and discriminatory language and behaviour to oneself!

Do you believe that man are declining meetings because a woman , man, ts , tv, etc ,have used the term you have mentioned?

I didn't know about the connections to the trade triangle, but I do now thanks to the op. The amount of pushback on this thread only highlights the need to have things like this put out there so we can all learn and grow to be better human beings. No one can fully understand discrimination unless it happens to them, whether that be through race, sex, sexuality, religion, disability, etc., we can however be passionate about equality and listen and be educated by those who are do experience it. I would prefer for things like this to be pointed out to me instead of living in blissful ignorance.

"Also the more friendy interaction between different races can only be good in decreasing racism.

Even if they only want black guys for sex, I consider it better than say white only profiles, for breaking down race barriers.

I think the point "some" people above are pointing out is the term is somehow derogatory and the race element is discriminatory.

Well, deliberately seeking someone out so you can have sex with them based on colour isn't discriminatory, it's objectification. That's a whole extra argument."

I agree with that point. As a person of mixed race, I have had letters from guys who seem objectify my colour.

I block these people because I want to meet someone who is attracted to me for more than that.

But if both parties find it acceptable, I think overall it is better to have non confrontational interaction between groups of different people than none attracted all. Only then can we start seeing the other attractive characteristics of people different from us only by skin colour.

"How is this connected to the trade triangle, I am actually intrigued where you have got this information from ?

Is it the abbreviation element, of the description of a colour and a large cock that offends you?

For example:

BWC = Big white cock

BBC = Big Black Cock

Claiming you have black ancestry yet you don't know your history

LOL

I clearly know more than you.... please see above post"

"You were you made to feel that by?

Do you feel inferior to white people now? I'd be appalled if anyone felt inferior to me.

You can just say black its better than saying woman of colour.please

She can but what's she talking about effects other ethnic minorities too. Not just black people."

Thank you UNLOS OP...

I was referring to people of varying ethnicities... Given where I live I have more friends who are of South Asian heritage, so women/people of colour is more appropriate when I'm talking about friends as I have a much smaller number of friends from other ethnic minority groups...

" I was with you up until the white forefathers sentence OP

That's not nice to dish out and tell our black brother's stop labelling themselves as a BBC

I see it everyday

It is not direct lie told by parents to children. Many white people have learned that they are superior because of how they were raised.

Generations after generations of degrading people and treating ethic minorities as below and having advantages over black people. That is a lesson that has come down the generation and is a lesson. It's also a lie.

And yes black men. If you call yourself BBC you are helping this along. Stop!

My parents never told me this in fact my mum use to tell me, I don't want to hear you say "I didn't get the job because I am black. Your name walks through the door first then you being black"

I have experienced racism twice so far in my life and I have seen black kids on the bus do it to a white person. Neither of that rubbish do I condone and I wouldn't paint everyone with the same brush either

You’ve experienced racism twice? Where do you live?

I’ve experienced it hundreds of times, more than I could count. And in some very extreme ways too (to the extent to having police involvement).

So I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss a problem just because it hasn’t happened to you.

Agreed

I've experienced racism ALOT

I wish I could post that I've only experienced it twice

My two experiences is just as bad as someone's one experience or another's plenty of it.

It shouldn't happen to anyone full stop

So why were you so dismissive of it in your original comment?"

Please read my original comment well and you would see what I have dismissed.

I wouldn't applaud my race for racist remarks in their attempts to stop other races being racist towards black people

It's hideous to say black people don't belong to white forefathers, I've never heard a white person say we do.

I also don't agree with punishing all white people or any other race, if a person or group of people are or have been racist the whole of that race is not responsible.

It is the offending individuals

I found ironic is that racism to many is only about one color when in reality is not the case , in this precise moment there's people from one color to another experiencing racism of some sort, but the OP still living in the past bringing it to the present what is just for itself an act of not moving forwards. I won't be surprised if one of these days someone will remember to sue BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) because the terminology may remember something completely different
