Do people like the winks or messages?

I’m only asking as I have found no matter how long, how short the message, or mentioning something interesting about there profile or with attached photos it either gets unread or deleted, I get women get hundreds of messages daily.

So I use the wink as a easy and quick way to establish a potential chat/meet, rather then sending a polite message and it not getting read

In regards to winks, no, I don't send them. I rarely even look at the ones I receive.

In regards to messages I've only sent a handful in the last 2½ years.

I would much rather people use winks to gauge interest and then if the wink is returned construct a good message. Trouble is some ignore winks so the system doesn't work.

But it works for those that want to use it.

winks no we never respond to them, same as the friends requests when they havent even sent a message. Messages 90% we reply to

I ignore winks. The only way to start a conversation with me is to send me a message (not at the moment, my filters are as high as they go).

If your messages are unread or deleted, your message or profile are not what they're looking for. I'm not offering profile advice (one you haven't asked for it, two I haven't looked at your profile), but many people look at the profile before opening a message to see if there's potential compatibility.

I have used both and will always reply to either, however I think you’d get the same response most of the time. If they don’t respond to messages then they won’t respond to a wink.

As for friend requests I wouldn’t dream of sending them without chatting first. To me it’s kreepy and seems like people just want to see friends only pics.

I use winks as a good way to see if there's mutual interest if it's returned then I'll message. Or if they wink and I return... Hopefully they message me

I found that too, I try to seek someone local and send them a private picture, with a quick message saying “here is a picture of me to see if I’m of any interest to you, I hope for a reply, if not happy fabbing ” I’ve found that is the best way to start, majority of people go by looks unfortunately and if I’m not to their taste they won’t reply lol

I look at and send winks. It's probably helpful to state in your profile if you're not interested in winks.

But OPs position is comparable to the majority of single men here, who just need patience and tenacity, to keep going, whilst learning from their experience and sustaining realistic expectations.
