Botchergate. They close the road to vehicles at night.

It's a whole road of bars and food places.

Carlisle usually

Having lived in Carlisle many years, I go to another city when I want a decent night out

But, Botchergate seems to do the job for most people.

Exactly. So I don't. Until I'm in Newcastle because that is one scary ass place. (aside from IKEA, and Krispy Kreme, and Toby Carvery, and the Metro.....)

To be honest it's less busy which suits us.

Plus we get away for the night and the Mrs gets 50% discounts on hotels over there through work.

I get that. We don’t go out in Newcastle much but it is a great night out.
