Everyone struggles with different things in life, weather they be personal, family, financial espically in modern times with the cost of living crisis and mortgage repayments / rent at all times high and causing a lot of worry and stress for people. So if you feel comfortable in sharing leave a post below because even though fab is a swinging site, it’s firmly based on friendship and sometimes it can really help to talk. For those who do t wish to talk on an open forum, my inbox is always open and I’m always happy to listen if someone needs to talk, completely in confidence and without judgement

Use your smile to change the world but never let the world change your smile

Thank you... a wonderful sentiment... I have been to the bottom and know how dark things can get ... I say the same. My inbox is open for people struggling with their mental health x

I've been struggling on and off for a few years with the most recent problem.

.

I have been penalised by the countries sexist laws. The government have provided me with no support or help to deal with it. (unless you count the NHS emergency Dr's, medication and therapists as help).

Although I've been doing this with support from family and friends, it still all falls down to me to figure this shit out. I've been thankful for a great immigration lawyer but it shouldn't have come to this. I am so tired and worn out from emailing people, filling out paperwork, chasing people and departments.

And to rub salt in the wound, I've helped someone else in the same situation as me and he's ahead of me in the process even though I started the process well before him. (Yes, I'm pedantic like that!)

It's a huge kick in the teeth. I know I'll end up having some very low days when all this is over. The trauma and weight of it all will finally be laid out ready for me to dissect and work through.

Oh, and there's this thing of emotional B/mail I received 11 years ago and I just haven't had the capacity to deal with that. Don't worry, I'll get round to it in another 30 years maybe.

Right, I think I need to just breath and go to bed.

I’m so sorry to read of your struggles and it must feel like the world is against you espically when it appears that someone else is getting preferential treatment over yourself. I can tell how much anger and angst this is causing you, happy to listen if you need to off load and my inbox is open

It is good to talk, I should know I have done enough of it lol but also try to be there for others.

At times I wish I did not need to talk so much but sometimes it's better to get it out

It’s good to talk is it?

I’m not sure it is, because I’ve talked, and feel in the past I’ve given people enough amunition to hurt me in the future.

Sometimes it’s good to keep silent and deal with things myself.

It doesn't hurt to exercise some stoicism from time to time

Yes, absolutely this.

I agree that you need to be careful who you talk to. Sometimes it's better to talk to strangers

But it's rarely a good idea to keep it to yourself

couldn’t agree with you more as sometimes it takes someone out of the situation to see things with a completely different prospective and see things with a different set of eyes

I’m ok myself but have been supporting two people in my life with mental health and addiction for getting on for 10 years. The hardest thing is watching someone you care about suffer and unable to fix it.I wish I could just have their pain instead.
