Do you ever just feel like you missed your chances?

Lean into the melancholic and accept your fate.

Sighs.

Of course.

But I like to think they weren't right otherwise it would have happened.

That's how I attempt to console myself anyway.

I'd worry if I resigned myself to looking back at the missed chances, I'd miss any new ones too

Over the years I‘be missed lots of chances relating to many different things but that’s life, don’t dwell on it, look for the next chance, and seize it.

I believe life is what you make it. Everyone can always be affected by mood swings or unexpected events but remember if you fall twice you do get up 3 times.

Even small steps forward are still progress.

Staying positive in the mind gives better and control over all aspects of our life.

Missed chance or right decision at the time?

Every choice determines the next step. If you picked a different option previously, you may not be where you are now. Sometimes that’s a good thing but sometimes, not so good.

However we can’t change the previous decision, we can only influence the next choice. Enjoy the future opportunities x

You make your own luck in this life. Missing a chance is akin to riding someone else’s wave.. it was never really yours to belong with.

Yes some do.. but it’s soo much better to be in control of your own destiny from beginning to end.

On occasion. Sometimes life gets in the way or things just pass.

It’s ok to mourn those passings but know that other things will come to be

I've often felt that way in the past. Not anymore though. I am more determined than ever to make the most of every opportunity. To take risks, to not settle.

Stockport

I sometimes think that if I'd been a harder type of person, taken advantage of others, and generally not given a damn about the well-being of people, them I might have made more money, shagged more women, had much more transitory pleasures of the flesh. But then I'd either not be me, or I'd spend a lot of time feeling like a cunt.

Instead I've got sufficient to live in my own way, and I still have a few good moments that I can look back on. And I can feel that when I'm gone there might be a few people that will appreciate my life and think kindly about me. Which all in all, is not too bad a legacy.
