Who will benefit from the RBS fine which the taxpayer will mostly fork out for?

What will the money be spent on do you think?

The Chancellor has ordered that the fine must come from the bonus pot. Given we own do much of RBS it does have a knock-on effect but not an immediate one.

The fine pays for the regulator, doesn't it?

and now also see Barclays has been ordered to pay a $470m (£293m) in fines and other penalties

by the US energy regulatory after being found to have manipulated the American electricity market

it is happening all the time, they are pooling it in.

There was a programme on R4 earlier today about LIFFE and the deregulation of banking in the 80s. All interesting stuff.
