It's natural to think it's ok to sexualise anyone you want on a site like this but considering the struggle and hard work women footballers have gone through to be taken seriously, the thread is in a little bad taste.

Is it, though?

It's a very regular occurrence for threads about women, doing jobs in the public eye i.e. TV presenter, sportsperson, politician etc etc, to appear in the lounge along the lines of "did you see what she was wearing this morning" "bet she's filth, you can tell" and Mary's "sexy little wiggle" joins that group. Obvious bias aside (me being a woman) there are relatively few about men in a similar vein.

It's all about context which I've mentioned for women's footballers above in my post and why it's not in good taste to sexualise them. Is it right that makes sportsmen get the same treatment? Probably not but whatabout-isms have to be the worst counterpoints to any argument ever

Oh, I know that. I was talking about how often it happens on here, and that "women sexualise men playing rugby" isn't really an accurate comparator. But I realise I'm on fab trying to make this point
