Has anyone actually managed to stick to getting it all cooked in 15 minutes? And do you serve it the way he does? I always think the food looks yummy but the way he serves it... who in their right mind would want to eat boiling hot mash with their fingers off a chopping board?

I've tried in vain to slow myself down to match his methods…

He comes up with some interesting ideas but would rather take my time and enjoy cooking a meal rather than rushing it.

Is that just how he serves it, surely you would help your self with a serving receptacle to put said mash on a plate to eat it off?

This is one of Siren's bug bears. She bought one of his 15-min books and it took her three weeks to read it!

I've got the book, great meals, but some of them do look like a bit of a car crash.

I enjoy cooking, so don't mind taking a bit of time

But the whole point of the books is cooking in a hurry isnt it? Or am i totally thick and have missed the point?

Oi, just coz you're at 5 on your grouch o'meter, don't make me come over there and bring you down to a 4

Seriously though, I liked the look of the recipes, not the fact that you can feed a family in 15 mins after runnin yourself ragged and using every soddin pot in the kitchen - got the 30 mins one too, the steak sarnie and spinach filo pie are out of this world. Can't get them done in 30 mins though

Greater Manchester

Nah, me and my girlfriend have been doing a couple of meals a week from it for the last month. Even with two of us they usually take about 45 mins, never been less than about 30.

The stuff is lovely but there's no way any of it can be done on 15 mins and I don't like that he doesn't give cooking times. We ended up with under cooked pork a couple a weeks ago!

You did make sense, but his books don't - I can still supply the spanking (by proxy of course) for a full 15 minutes

Its a great idea, but when I tried à recipe from the book there were no timings so I had to guess when to put stuff on. Ended up ok but would have helped to have it spelt out, the reason I bought the book was to be taught!

I love the look of stuff he does but find myself screaming at the tv everyone he outs a spoon in eats off it then adds seasoning uses same spoon and tests again. Double dipping is a huge no no

You could be right, although I saw one recently with couscous on a large plate for sharing using your fingers and didn't really see the point
