I've noticed that I've been blocked by some people who I have never met or interacted with in any way

I just wondered if this has happened to anyone else, it doesn't bother me, I just don't understand

(I definitely don't know them in vanilla life)

Yes.Couldnt care less.A great filter without any cost or effort to yourself.They are people who live their lives in terror of what other people might say or have an opinion of so they block you in case you try and say it to them.

You’ve either said something they didn’t like in the forums or they don’t want to meet you for whatever reason so they’ve blocked you so you don’t come up in future searches.

Blocked by several, some we used to talk to as well. Opinions change, I guess or one of us has said or done something we're unaware of to get blocked by them. Or we're not their cup of tea in regards to meeting. Is what it is and won't lose any sleep over it.

Happened to me so many times, especially getting blocked by ladies who I'd have never spoken to. I almost never use the block button, if all filters are up, that helps enough to do a wise selection of people who are up your alley. Never understood the need and satisfaction someone gets after blocking people. Kinda childish in my humble opinion.

Don't like their pics.

They messaged & I don't want to speak to them.

Said/done something in the forums that makes me not want to interact.

I would only really block anyone who may have interacted in some inappropriate way with me. I also block sometimes people with extreme views in forums, those that have been clearly abusive to others, created threads to obviously instigate conflict and often staying quiet after lighting the fire. Also anyone looking down on others more vulnerable and needy in society quoting irrelevant examples to justify their lack of empathy. Just not my kind of people so I do sometimes block them and wish I could block them in forums and not see their vile posts but that is not possible. On the other hand lots of lovely people to intetact with so not much of a loss really. Not particularly worried who may block me either. It's certainly preferable to leaving messages unread for no 'obvious' reason after a good initial conversation. Fab is about having not many expectations and enjoy the ocassional highlights whether on here or in person with someone

They don't like you.

So, naturally, obsess and fixate on the why.

Make a second account, then a third, stalk their every move, pester, harass and harangue them as to why they were wrong and its a mistake.

This, is how you win them over. It's so easy. And effective.

Or just, ya know, deal with the fact they don't like you.

Fun fact, it even happens to me.

But I get it, they are scared, of what could be, the depths of our burning passion, desire and lust caught aflame and turning into a cascade of pleasure tainted with the knowledge, it will always end. Such things, are not meant to last. It's understandable.

That or they just don't like me.

’) forumites I’ve never interacted with whom I remember had me blocked during my last incarnation here - was feeling a tad mischievous so sought out their profiles via the forums & blocked them before they had a chance to do it first this time

If there's zero compatibility, they're looking for a 6ft+ bearded Viking or a dad bod, someone older/younger or BBC etc etc...then I block.

Same goes for 'fill in later' and profiles with zero photos after 3 days of being on the site.

Obviously the guys who scatter gun every profile with the hint of a female pulse aren't going to do this but for all of those moaning they don't get a meet maybe being more selective might just help.

For anyone offended by it, wait until you find out what goes into sausages.

I proactively block profiles I'll never be interested in, ever. For many a reason.

Sure, I could just use my memory or the notes function. But blocking is easier.

It's also permanent.

It stops them clogging up my searches repeatedly. It stops them wasting their time potentially trying to contact me.

It's done for their benefit as much as mine.

.We use our block as a extra filter when we’ve chatted to people and for whatever reason we are just not into them or they are not into us we block so we won’t message them again in future if we forget ..

Let it go & concentrate on the others. I find the same which could be because of a comment I make on a forum or just being a older bloke & I really don't care as only want to meet people interested in me but it is very blunt when you get the blocked message.

We all have preferences for what/who we’re looking for, so if someone thinks the two of you won’t be a match, blocking you (and others) reduces their search bracket locally. It’s not personal, it’s just a timesaver, for all concerned

Maybe they knew you, or too far or too local, maybe they didn't like a comment you made in forums maybe you weren't their type many reasons can be applied as a woman you'll have lots more options than a guy so be thankful

Trust me, it's worse when people you know block you, but it's part of the 'wonderful world of fab'... and you have to get used to it.

Some friends appear genuine, but which vanilla friends block you... None. You just stop chatting. This world is different.

I did a major profile rewrite as the first draft was an abomination and not a reflection of me. I've sorted it now, but it was enough to put people off.

to be fair we do this with profiles that we both know that we have no interest in, we just use it as another filter just as you use age filters etc, its nothing personal

Think alot of my blocks have come from my opinions in the forums! As I am passionate about my views and make them known! My block list is very small only tend to block people that have been vile! Have counter blocked a few! Bit petty I know!

Not my type, said something gross on the fora, just obviously incompatible? I'd rather keep that noise out of my inbox without using filters that can block interesting people who fall in unfortunate categories.

While I imagine we have been blocked by many, we block loads of people.

Men who are very local and look at us.

Couples or women who aren’t our type and local.

Men who keep looking at us again and again.

Men who wink or message.

Couples or women who we message and who don’t reply.

Couples or women who we wink and they look at us but don’t wink or message back.

Men who have their dick as a profile pic and look at us.

People who are annoying/rude on the forums.

We use it as a filter.

We block people ,that we don't want to hear from & I'm sure people have done the same to us.

It just means you're cutting out the people you're not a match with.

On my single profile I block pests,those in my local updates whose pics I don't like or if they've got derogatory status updates about others.Same in the forums if I see some horrible post from someone.

There's generally a reason someone's blocked another profile & it's a good filter to use.

Yes I block some ladies and couples as I know no interest (either way) and don’t want their status updates or pics appearing in my Update feed. Just makes for a less cluttered experience.

If you are blocked, how do you know whether or not you know a person or a couple in real life?

Also, they may have had their account suspended by admin which results in the same message.
