The crooked house pub has gone up in flames, just as it went up for sale.

Do you think it’s a bit suspicious?

It is a shame that it has gone up on flames, it used to be one of the pub crawl pubs me and the biker crew visited along with the manor house of Whittington.

There was a recent thread about pubs disappearing. It’s really sad. Me and my lad had a couple in the local earlier. I’d be gutted if it wasn’t there to be honest.

Hope it goes further than that and the new owner is prosecuted. The road was also blocked with piles of earth to stop the fire service getting full access to deal with the fire

Really? I never saw that? That could put others lives at risk. A bit of prison time wouldn’t go a miss here.

Also the excavator used to illegally demolish the whole burnt out structure when it should ONLY have been used to shore up the front first floor wall had been hired the week BEFORE the fire! Those responsible should certainly have a spell in prison and also be made liable for the full cost of a brick by brick rebuild!
