Songs you always hear wrong

Falme

So which songs do the collective ears of Fab just not get?

I might be slightly obsessed with Pussy (and you gorgeous ladies of Fab don't help with this) but on Big Yellow Taxi even though I know what the lyrics actually are all I can hear is

"A pink paradise, put on the parking light"

Also thanks to Netflix getting the wrong subtitles for first few seasons when 'At Least It Was here' plays I hear

"Give me some more time in a dream" rather than what the band have stated the lyrics are "give me some rope, tie me to a dream", but I think the wrong lyrics make more sense.

Looking forward to hearing other blind spots

Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Universe

When I was 9, I always thought in "You're So Vein", Carly Simon sang about "Clowns in my potty", not "clouds in my coffee"

Precisely the answers I'm looking for, thank you for sharing.

Also any other Community fans (and I mean fans of the show not just those who love Annie... fun fact when she was in college she was a highly experienced streaker)

Jennifer Lopez & Ja Rule - I’m Real

To this day I still hear the lyrics as “Are you Ellie?” Instead of “R.U.L.E”

Near Clacton

In all honesty there are loads in my life, as I am hearing impaired and was at a very young age. My best friend had 5 brothers all six were 2 years apart, my pal was second youngest, they all lived at home when we were pals so we shared and played tons of records, and my interpretations caused hilarious evenings and good laughs all round. I still to this day, decades later (Still with bad hearing) listen to old music on YouTube but now with lyrics up, I giggle at what I thought they were!
