Overexcited seems harsh. I know people who cum quickly still and we just carry on having fun anyway, it's only an issue if they get in their heads about it and its not something that needs to be an issue. Learning to back off is the key for me. I have found that if I want to delay cumming and I can feel the urge start then I just need to slow down and have a quick pause. Once I have controlled that then I am good to go for a while.
