I dont use my thumb but I use those pens with the rubber ( not Condom ) on the end to use, on my tablet but I'm due a new 1 as I've worn this 1 out now lol

You are, unfortunately - especially if you're using one of infinite scroll social media apps.

Even if you need to hold the phone with 2 hands (because it's too big, I have large hands so it's not an issue), you should be able to use the phone with just your right thumb (assuming right-handedness). With swipe typing you can use just that for writing too! The second hand can be a helper but only if needed.
