Sounds of the 90s.

My mum used to always have records playing or the radio on. And it wasn’t the modern stuff, it was songs from the 60’s. More specifically Motown.

Now I’m older I appreciate why, my go to is the 90’s. A time where I discovered it, and it was very eclectic in 12 years it spanned (it started in 1998, I’m convinced) but there was a specific sound to it too.

Narrator- you listen to music that’s 30 years old, ‘whoop.’

But there’s some tunes that didn’t age well, and some that did.

1994 had Pulp with Do you remember the first time? And Doop by Doop.

Paul Weller - you do something to me, 1995 was in the same year as Cotton Eye Joe

All I’m sayin’ is that some record I bought on Cd as singles I will never feel the need to play them again.

Which classics do you remember buying that were good, AT THE TIME?!

Another interesting fact some of you might know.

If Marty Mcfly traveled back to 1955 from 1985.

That means if you went back the same amount of time, you’d land in 1993.

Bonus question. -

Mr Sandman was the first song he heard.

What song would you hear 1st if you went back?

These songs still seem good to me . I bought Hanson mmm bop and still think it’s good.

I’ll admit to buying Shaquille O’Neill What's Up Doc? (Can We Rock) . That was good AT THE TIME

Dina Carol was awesome, half of the ballads from the 90’s still rock today!

N-Trance set you free was an absolute BANGER that is still just as good at a party now, the baseline from “I got 5 on it” still gets everybody hyped even before the track kicks in……..

They still creep into the public conscious every Christmas though when I Believe gets rolled out again. Not even sure how or why that qualifies as a Christmas song.

Luniz I got 5 on it is in my car cd player right now!

Not so fun fact. I bought that cd before ripping music was common. One of my friends on mIRC lived in America but couldn’t get the same cd single so I posted it to America for him to rip.

4 weeks later the cd dropped back through my letterbox all the way from California
