No. Never. But you can be too forgiving, too soft and too easy to take advantage of.

The trick is to not lose your niceness, but at the same time be discerning with whom you choose to be nice too.

No but you can think you're being nice when actually you're pursuing an agenda or trying to conceal poor traits

Yes, sadly and some people take advantage of it.

If it's genuine then no. Often niceness has an ulterior motive or is a lack of ability to put yourself first.

"Can you be "too nice"????"

Normally I’m suspicious of those that are too nice to me.

Somewhere In The Ether…

Too nice for one’s own good certainly.

Sadly, many folk seem to perceive ‘niceness’ as a form of weakness and will exploit it fully to their own ends, confident that said soft characteristic will prevent the bearer from implementing any form of retaliation.

In my opinion you can be nice without being a pushover. Nice is one characteristic and allowing people to take advantage of you is another.

Nice Vs empathy…

Be empathetic, be polite.. be humble, be inquisitive, be curious and be confident about the things you’re passionate about..

Non of the above are weak, all are perfectly beautiful.

Before my first lesson I would have shared the deets. But after only my second lesson. I'm now a complete and total utter b'stard and not going to!

Carlisle usually

Nice can be nice. But also often used in poor attempts to conceal agendas or almost attempted to be used as a trading unit to get something from someone else.

It's also not really anything by itself. I can be civil and nice to anybody, but that doesn't mean that they're going to find me interesting or engaging or attractive or compatible, or that they owe me something just because I followed the social protocol.

I mean it depends on what you mean by nice. General social interaction...yeah I can be nice.

If I like you ...I'm more likely to insult you

Definitely. The latter will just lead to resentment because it's not actually being nice.

It can be seen as altruistic, for sure… but that’s looking at life through a lense..

Being pleasant and nice isn’t a social protocol, for some it’s a way of life. It’s about taking care of others without asking for anything back in return. Don’t look at it as something that other perceive, look at it as the best version of yourself…

For me it give me a sense of well being.. (enormous) PARKLIFE!!

Definitely and also be thought of that it’s an act…

I just don’t have time for drama and like being nice. Doesn’t mean I’m a pushover or does it mean it’s an act.

Based on the number of people who stopped talking to once I stopped being useful to them, I would say yes.

No I don’t think you can be “too nice”.

Even when other people act like cunts it’s really important to me not to lower myself to their level.
