little house on the praire

Ive only just set skype up and dont know how to block so that only friends can message me. I know there was a thread on scams the other day. Ive just looked at my skype and 8 people wanted to add me out of the 8 6 had sent me virtually the same message. I was going to copy and paste but they where the usual rubbish about being an angel and the most beautiful thing theyve ever seen how they are in the army and their wife and child died two years ago. I used to get them years ago on a big international site that i cant remember the name off. So is there a way of blocking them or do i just have to keep blocking the rubbish

Im sure there was a setting where you can only receive messages off your contacts, but i uninstalled skype as it was a pile of pants so now use something else instead.

No. They sold it to some Ghanaians for some magic beans a few years ago. It's hard to tell who got ripped off.

odd I have skype and do not have my settings set to anything yet i never recieve anything,,,,from anyone other than my firends, however it shold be somewhere under privacy i would imagine...

Exactly the same as i used to get on the other site and it must be six years since i used tht. They can buy books with different phrases in it. There an unfortunate lot over there with so many family deaths thats for sure

Think ive found it in privacy ive set it to only recieve messages in mycontac list

sorry it under Skype, then privacy , then allow calls/im, click appropriate box...mine is set for contacts only...

You need to go to - Tools - 0ptions - privacy settings.
