Before a meet, do you have any requirements for needing to chat to them - be in a phone call or at the very least voicenotes?

Do you find your opinion has changed shitloads on someone before based on their chat or voice?

Go!

I definitely need a voice and a video call. Been catfished before

How they sound doesn’t bother me

When I did private meets, I did need a video call beforehand. Now I only meet new people in clubs I don't worry so much

A den in the Glen

I met for a social after a handful of messages and had a great time.

Expected a Scots lady and got an Eastern European. It was a nice surprise and it went well but it was a bit of a curve ball.

TBH I probably understood her better than most Scottish women I've spoken too

I like a chat.

Had a lovely one today.

Especially when there's an accent I like and a sexy voice on the other end of the line.......

Credit card number, expiry date, CVC code, name on the card, also ideally if they can provide Bank Account name, sort code, account number, mother's maiden name, name of first pet, town where they were born, and finally their age and date of birth.

That usually is enough, but sometimes I want their passport and deeds to the house too.

We don't tend to phone or video call, however after our 1st meet it would have saved being catfished so I see why people do.

Yes. Well, I like talking and it naturally progresses to one or both. Sometimes I've been a bit... less dripping with lust after hearing their voice. That sounds awful, I'll clarify it's only happened twice. And I've met a few people in almost a decade on here.

Most of the time I'm even more keen to meet them because I've heard how they respond to me. They feel more real. If the conversation flows easily on the phone/voice notes I like to think it will translate well to meeting in person.

Agree with this entirely apart from decades.. 2014 to 2024 will be one but not yet.

Calls should be not rushed.

Of course, at the very least a phone call, or even moving on to voice notes.

But most importantly, someone that is easy-going and has a sense of humour

Yes, phone call beforehand.

I chatted to a guy a while back and the chemistry was great. He left me a voice note on whatever chat app I was using.

Every hair stood up. I felt terrified.

I backed out sooo fast

Only ask for a phone chat if I'm doubting how "real" they are or going to actually turn up to a meet. Otherwise I quite like the excitement of not knowing.

Not necessarily a voice, but you can tell many things by someone’s voice. It does at times turn you on. However I’d at least like a few on and off chats to know the “what are we doing” and if compatible. Can’t be arsed with the fuck and go nonesense. To many dirty people on here

Don’t think I’ve ever had a need to physically talk to someone before meeting them. I always meet in a public space and feel able to walk away.

But I have spoken to someone I never met and they sounded like one of the chuckle brothers. That really dried me up

If there is no social…rare going straight to a meat meet! Then I need a phone chat first! Even if it’s just when they’re driving to meet me!

I'm a little self conscious about speaking on the phone.

It's like a cold call. I will do it if the guy insists, and I'm into him.

I like the written word better. Seduce me with text! Much more horny and less nerve wracking! X

I'll want to meet them based on their messages and whether they're good conversation and it helps break the ice for when we actually meet. I'm not too fussed about chatting over the phone or voice notes as I've never really put too much of a stock into how someone sounds. If I judged someoone on their voice, it would very much be a pot kettle black situation.

Important to chat, voice's how and what people say, carrys weight. Its a glimpse,a screening.

Many dont want to chat, they rather type away. So what will happen if they ever meet in the flesh.
